I see people putting up title keys but not tickets. What's a title key for and how can I use it?

The titlekey allows you to download the file from NUS. If you have cfw + patches (rednand etc) you can use a fake ticket. There's no way to get a real ticket without buying software - so most likely titlekeys are being shared for dlc/eshop only games.

Just make sure there's a ticket in your install folder when the download finishes.

Is there a way to determine a title key/generate a wupinstaller (sigpatched sysNAND) compatibile tik if all you have is the TitleID? NUSGrabber will only get a title.tmd and a title.cert.

I've seen some VC and there's nothing but a TitleID available.

AFAIK you need the title key, and there is no getting around that. Someone needs to have actually bought the vc and dumped the titlekey.

Edit: I haven't looked into this in a while - don't take my word as gospel.

Why is it that some titles on wii u title keys don't have a title key? Yes it's listed on the site, what use is that?

All of the applications without title keys have tickets - which you can use to easily extract the title key. I guess whoever runs that site doesn't have the time to extract the title key from the ticket.

I think that was the easiest way to denote that the titleID isn't on NUS (Disc only). Do you see any where that's not the case?
