when i try to open pokémon moon from freeshop with JKSM i just get an infinite red bottom screen

not sure if you've already found a fix but what worked for me was to manually copy and paste the save in FBI to the Pokemon Moon save directory and it worked.

No @configchan explains all that on previous page ... ORAS was PASLR'd in 11.1 but all new titles get the treatment in 11.2 ... as the check is implemented at the system level rather than the game, if you stay on <= 11.1 no new games will be affected.



Yes @configchan did this last night on 11 targeting the title directly so no need for bank

I have a New 3DS on 11.2. I've been able to use JKSM and PKHeX just fine on Omega Ruby. Does that mean I'll be able to use it on Sun? I've been concerned about this whole PASLR thing.

no, since it requires a newer FIRM. your best bet is to downgrade if you want to keep easy access to homebrew.

You have to target bank with ORAS yeah? Someone on Reddit reckoned you'd be able to target Sun / Moon directly as it was designed for 11+ not 11.2 and so not PASLR'd yet ... haven't heard of anyone actually doing it yet though

Should be no problem. I went online with the CIA today for first time just to test them ... 99% sure issue was people going online early and nothing to do with cia

See above. You are probably fine, infact there is a chance it's even easier than ORAS ie you don't need bank

@RustInPeace Yep best option is using Plailect's guide and go down to 9.2 and get A9LH & Luma before going to 11.2 ... if you're lazy and your HBL entry isn't patched in 11.2, you could just update, but then you wouldn't have the option of getting A9LH anymore (easily anyway).

I've tried going through the bank way and gives me an error message when exporting/saving. I'm a scrub and can't install cia's for some reason, FBI always states error installing. Reading through the previous posts has got me feeling stuck. What can I do?

You can't be on 9.2 and 11.1 at the same time - that's a paradox - or are you talking about two different consoles?

I have CFW SysNAND With A9LH, backed up my saves of sun and moon of the leaked .cia, I plan to re-download with freeShop.

If I re-inject my saves will they be corrupted into the fresh game or not?

I'm going to try this on my 11.1 ... maybe it was bloody PASLR'd prior to release with 11.1

EDIT: Ignore my second guessing to the contrary, have just targeted Moon directly on 11.1 HBL no CFW - it's fine. Easier than ORAS.

Downside: No idea what is causing @RockPaperScizor 's yellow screen issue ... can anyone help?

It's a matter of risk tolerance bro ... I didn't go online all last week because I thought it was dumb AF ... but I quite happily went online with the CIA today as I don't think the CIA is the issue. Situation you propose is completely safe, conservative even.

I have 2 3ds, one had the preload cia, other had official e-shop preload. Both unlocked at the same time. If nint could ban based on CIA alone they'd do that for a lot of other games. Besides, ppl with the leaked cia that didn't play online weren't banned.

I've been playing the .cia leak version 0 of Pokemon Moon and I want to backup the save. So I installed the .cia of JKSM but Moon was not detected as being a game on the SD even though it is. How do i fix this?

Another thing is that under System Titles in JKSM there are some duplicates found for certain apps like friendlist, are these intended to be there? I'm curious because i recently region changed from JP to US and was wondering if it's safe to remove these titles.

For your first question, select "Refresh Games" and try again.

For your second question, it's probably more appropriate to ask elsewhere, since that's not really related to JKSM. Also, I don't know the answer, so, sorry

EDIT: I can add, tho, that my JKSM only show one copy of each. The exception is Instruction Manual, probably because of the FBI injection. So I'd guess it's related to the extra tickets left behind after your region change. Deleting those could brick your console so REALLY ask someone else which ones are safe to delete.
