It's an extended memory game, which means it reboots the console to start. Rebooting the console closes the homebrew menu and any homebrew programs, like save editors.
So when JKSM attempts to target the title directly on a 2DS / O3DS, the console reboots?

That's what I thought, but my copy arrived today and with 11.0 I seem to be able to dump and import saves, so I guess I've been misinformed about this.
So this means we can edit Sun/Moon on an o3DS using homebrew if we are on 11.1 or below? Or do we still have to wait for the Pokebank update in January?

I have Pokemon Sun, I tried using JKSM before to transfer my save data from Moon to Sun (I extracted the Data and deleted Moon) and it got corrupted. I must say that I first used Save Filer to extract and tried using JKSM to import the save file.

I'll be transfering my data again from Luranti's cia to a complete one (Not ver.0) but my SD card is only 16 GB, will I be able to safe transfer my save file if I first delete Sun CIA, then install the proper version?

I'm not sure, but pretty sure that the problem

Nop, you are able to transfer data from one version to other, It's been confirmed... I just don't really know if what I did wrong was delete Moon before transfering or using an outdated software to export the data and JK's to import.

I already have 38hrs into the game with a bunch of Pokemons and 1 Shiny and I don't want to risk that... :(

I read somewhere that this only worked early in the game like first island early ... not sure though

A couple of people have had corruption errors, but it seems to be the exception rather than the rule ... only thing you seem to have done different process wise, is using two different save managers, which could well be the cause. Can you open the sav in PKHex?

Try exporting a save from your cartridge using JKSM (start a game if you haven't already and save when you get the chance) and then importing your Moon save using JKSM. If that doesn't work, try the same again but deleting the cartridge save first.

Wasn't the issue with 11.1 the PASLR?
No @configchan explains all that on previous page ... ORAS was PASLR'd in 11.1 but all new titles get the treatment in 11.2 ... as the check is implemented at the system level rather than the game, if you stay on <= 11.1 no new games will be affected.

Yes @configchan did this last night on 11 targeting the title directly so no need for bank

I think deleting the secret value might solve that issue. I think I ran into a similar issue awhile ago on my Y copy and deleting the secret value fixed it.

I never used freeshop before, Pokémon Moon is installing right now. Any thing i should do after the game finishes downloading?
