I'm having a strange issue with the .cia versions of both Gambatte and gpSP producing a weird screen tear at the very top of the screen. How can I downgrade/upgrade to a different build without losing my settings? Basically, do I need to install a new .cia to up/downgrade or do I have to replace the Retroarch folder or both?

i just wish someone with the necessary skill would go back to the 1.3.3 version of gpsp, fix the minor issues that one had and upload that. all that user interface stuff is great and all, but we really weren't that far away from mostly perfect gba emulation

Well I tried the latest stable (1.3.6) .cia version and it gave me quite a bit of choppy lag. I'm not sure what to do here about these visual issues I'm having. I tried replacing the .cia's, cores and rdb's of Gambatte/gpSP of the nightly build I was using (2016-11-09) with the 11-08 version and I'm still getting that odd screen tear at the top of the emulation.

So is there a noob guide to getting the PS1 emulator working? I can never get any games to boot.
Launch the *.cue file, not the *.bin file. If it's an ISO or a bin with no cue, burn it to a CD, and use AnyToISO to create a cue+bin file. You don't have to use an actual CD, you can mount a virtual one.

I figured out my save issue though. Apparently RA doesn't save until you hit quit RA. And doesn't save if you hit the home button.

I'm on o3ds, EmuNand 11.2, LumaCFW. Quick questions..

(1) What's the main difference between 3dsx and cia versions?
I know 3dsx is launched via homebrew launcher and cia needs to be installed (via FBI or other installers) to appear on the home screen.
Any other differences? Which one's better?

(2) How "stable" is the latest stable?
I've noticed the over 3000 commits since it's release and was wondering if I should experiment with nightly builds.
Any particular issues I should be aware of when running the stable build?

(3) o3ds performance overall for FBA (CPS1/2 and Neo Geo MVS) and GBA emulators?
I noticed they're marked "playable" in the OP but I'd like to know the general compatibility and framerates from those who have tested.

Water and background trees aren't ''see-through'' in Kirby's Dream Land 3 using the Pocket Snes emulator. I can provide screenshots if you want to. Water must be see-through like in 27:56 and tree leaves must be as well like in 17:00. Instead, they look ''solid'' and as such I can't see what Kirby is doing behind them. I would be grateful if you helped me, since I can't complete the game in this state.

CIA builds support dynarec, which is much better performance. 3dsx builds do not.

Star Fox 2 (Beta) (both versions found in GoodSNES) seems to run mostly full speed using Snes 9X for O3DS (on an N3DS) - albeit with some frame skips.
