I have a question about Dosbox.

How does the emulator configure directories upon loading a compatible file? Is the folder of the .exe or .com the root (C:\>)?

I have 20-10 builds, but not the raw CIAs. Also gamebatte sounds still appear to be bugged in 20-10.

I only tested Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, but I remember other's being broken too.

Just to make sure, it's October 20th builds right? That's what it says when I launch it.

Just a thought, and it's not ideal, but do you think you could dump the retroarch one to cia using Decrypt9?

The "retroarch" one? As in, the one that doesn't have any specific cores in it? or gamebatte?

Okay, never mind, guys. I have an O3DS, which, apparently, the Smash hack is incompatible with, so I just decided to install Luma3DS and go with the CIAs. Thanks for the help anyway. Though, there is one quick question I do need to ask...

How the heck do I get the DOSBox core to work? Every time I open the app, it never loads or it crashes.

It doesn't support o3ds, which I don't understand, we have a full speed Snes emulator so why not DOS? Maybe there isn't as much demand

Is that also the reason why Sega CD games do not run full speed on Picodrive?

If that's true, it's extremely disappointing that they've bailed on the 3DS again, especially with so many emulators unusable or plagued with major bugs that have been there for years.

    Ease up.
He does work on the 3DS and he has been fixing some of the issues pointed out lately.
He recently fixed the tearing in gpSP which was a problem persistent enough from months if not a year ago.

Just give him time and let him do whatever he has to do, the Wii U does have the right for emulation as well, more so seeing how there's no current emulator for it which works in a somewhat decent way, and besides you do have Gameyob as another option for Gameboy and GBC games, it's not like there's nothing else for it.

Just be grateful you can play the games in a 3DS with full speed and audio in it.

Take it easy, atm the wiiu scene needs a lot of homebrew support and, to be honest, I can wait for the next stable release of RetroArch 3DS, but as a Wii U with rednand owner, I would like the wiiu scene to mature as the 3ds is.

You'll need to find the titleIDs because decrypt9 doesn't tell you the name of the title. You can use FBI to do this (open Titles from the main menu of FBI and scroll until you find the title you're after).

To help, I've found one for you (I don't have gamebatte installed so you'll have to get that one yourself).
    Retroarch 3DS: 000400000BAC0000

Launch Decrypt9 through whatever means, and navigate to Content Decryptor Options > SD File Options... > Content to CIA (SysNAND dir) (assuming you're not using emuNAND because you have a9lh).

Use the arrow keys until you find the folder matching the titleID for the title you want to dump to CIA. E.g. for Retroarch 3DS, with titleID 000400000BAC0000, you'll be looking for folder /title/00040000/0BAC0000.

Once you've found the right folder, press A to dump. You'll find the resulting CIA on the SDCard in the files9 folder; it will be named by its titleID. In this example, the resulting file will be sd://files9/000400000BAC0000.cia.

    Thanks!
