Just a quick question since I can't find this anywhere else, but does Vita accept gameshare sent by PSP? <-?

Also, if it is possible to receive games on vita via psp, what homebrew app should I attempt to send to my Vita to homebrew it?

So also since I'm a noob to Vita what would be a homebrew app that I should try? Are the three listed in the top tutorial on this forum the actual homebrew applications?

Thanks for any information.

You shouldn't bump after a couple hours, no.

The Vita itself would not work with any PSP gameshare stuff, no, assuming you're talking about the old ad-hoc game sharing thing the PSP had for a few games.

I'm also not quite sure what it is you're talking about by "homebrew app should I attempt to send to my Vita to homebrew it"? If you mean how to access access Vita-mode homebrew, all you need is a Vita on 3.60 and an internet connection, head to http://henkaku.xyz/ on your Vita's web browser, and hit the "install" button. After that, you can install an Vita-specific homebrew you want.

I suggest you read the Noob guidelines thread, it will explain just about everything about Vita homebrew and what to do and what you need.

Yeah that's what I meant. I know .eboot is PSPs, didn't know what Vita was. If it's impossible to gameshare than the idea is dead already. Basically there is a homebrew app for PSP where you can send any file via gameshare (homebrew, games, emulators, etc) and I was thinking if it would've been easy to send a vita homebrew via that method.
Thanks for the answer though.

VPKs would be the proper term for the Vita.

As ObeSeeker mentioned, FTP is the "main" way to send homebrew and things to your Vita. There are other options as well, like changing a .vpk file to to an .mp4 extension and using QCMA to transfer files over USB (or Wifi). It's all fairly simple, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle when it comes to adding homebrew and such to your Vita :)

Thanks for everyones reply. Now I have version 3.60 and I don't have a psp game to replace to get tnv or vhbl. I have henkaku running but I don't know how to add vhbl or tnv because obviously I can't connect to psn anymore to download a psp game. I don't have access to a ps3 but I do have qcma and henkaku running. Any ideas?

Thanks for everyones reply. Now I downgraded my vita from 3.61 to 3.60

Great job, it seem that you are the very first to downgrade the vita from 3.61 to 3.60. Could we know how do you did it ? A little video could help maybe. edit: /lol

Sorry man I asked the guy who I got it from to downgrade it, he told me he did so I asked him how he did it. He said he just switched out the vita for one running an older firmware. Sorry for the misinformation.

As mentioned, you can connect to PSN with Henkaku as spoofing was added in a later version of it, however do note that at the moment there is no complete eCFW for 3.60 right now. The best you'll get is VHBL, which is for PSP homebrew only. No PS1/PSP loaders can be used on 3.60 right now.

There is a port being worked on now, however, for ARK to come to 3.60 but it's still being worked on and isn't released, and we don't know when it might be either.
