I would like to express that this is merely my opinion on Gateway.
You can have a opinion on anything you want without purchasing or using it.
Think of it this way, "I'm not going to buy a Ford 5000X as my first vehicle because my friend had a Ford before and he had transmission troubles and blah blah blah... and Chevy offers the same vehicle for a whole lot cheaper." That is an opinion. I neither do or don't have to be entitled to owning a Gateway to form my opinion on it.
For the argument on "Gateway can be used as a extra SD card in my 3DS"
So you payed $70 just to have an extra storage slot in your 3DS where you could've just spent the money on a higher capacity SD card and transferred it over?
Plus, I don't think it's necessary to have that many games in your 3DS. I have a 64 GB SD Card myself were I have about 10GB of stuff that I could delete on it and it's still only half full, AND do you really play all games on your 3DS. I know that I don't, but maybe you have another say in why you need to fill both SD cards with games.
For the argument on "Gateway can be used with A9LH and Luma"
Though this will be a weak counter to this, but why isn't this on their official page? Going on their page only gives you their arm9loaderhax.bin that boots into emuNAND. Correct me if I'm wrong and the official one by them supports that, but that's what I think that .bin uses.
For the argument on "Gateway's brick code"
So it's not Gateway's fault that their code bricks a console? They never disclosed that if you use their software on a third party cart, you'd get bricked (correct me if I'm wrong on this)
Also, if I were to create a program that bricked your 3DS if you didn't use it correctly, who is at fault? As I said, they should've made it so the firmware is stored on the cart, instead of the launcher.dat so that way only the cart would be bricked if it was third party cart.
Although it hasn't been reported, but what happens if Gateway's cart has a malfunction in a firmware update or if they have a time bomb or something? Their code is not perfect, and it's closed source so no one knows for sure if it will happen in the future. Luma3DS/other custom firmwares are open source and its' mostly by the community, so devs will test thoroughly and check code to make sure that their cfw benefits the community.
And this isn't really hate. Again, it's my opinion and I felt I wanted to share. If I wanted to make this formal instead of a rant where I blatantly speak out opinions gathered from this community, friends and acquaintances, I would have bought a Gateway myself, and then I would know first hand what their problems are. Observing what community members have been complaining about in the forums for a while should be enough for me to gather my own opinion, however.
