Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon 64-bit user here. Started with Ubuntu 7.04 in 2007, and switched to Mint in 2008. Been a Mint user ever since, dual-booting with Windows.
I also use Lubuntu as a LiveUSB to move files on client's computers when their Windows Installation takes a dump. I literally owe like, 90% of my PC repair business to Linux-based tools. Couldn't do my job without them.

That's a driver problem then.
I had to install the correct drivers as well to make Wi-Fi work.
