Hey guys. I've run into a problem and figured here was a good place to ask for assistance. In trying to run PCSX Rearmed, I have the problem of my ps1 games folder, "ps1", not showing up in retroarch. I don't really get what's going on. I used QCMA to bring a folder onto the Vita, then moved the "ps1" folder to "ux0:/games/". The folder doesn't appear when I open PCSX, though.

Within the folder are a few other folders named after the individual games, with pbp files in each other the games' folders. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling PCSX, but I get the same results. Is there a solution for this? I'll attach screenshots below of the directory.

Try
UX0:/Data/Games
if that fails use FTP to transfer files rather than QCMA.
Still use the directory format listed above

Thanks. That seems to have done it. Is there an explanation as to why this issue occurs with QCMA?
If you're using the move function in VitaShell, essentially, there's an issue with permissions. If you copy them over rather than move, they will show up.

ah this rumor again....that age old rumor only applies to moving parts such as a hard drive which the vita does not have.... even if sleep mode is designed for a device that does not mean it does not cause wear and tear...and the funniest part is I see people complaining all the time about problems after using sleep...to answer your question yes I use the email version which works first time everytime

Lol funny. You sound like my brother and his vita. I have turned off my vita 2 times in almost 3 years. Works perfect.

What are the chances of PS1 games eventually running smooth with the forced high res mode on? Everything looks so much better with it turned on, but the games come to a crawl. I'd love to replay some games with it turned on, gives it a whole new feel. Street Fighter EX2 looks amazing with it.

Options like that are why I'm way more excited for Retroarch than unlocking the native PS1 emulator, which just makes everything look blurry.

What software are you guys using to decrease the size of bin PSX ISOs?
PopstationGUI is the best IMO. Really easy to setup.

Also not sure if people know this but you don't need to keep the file named EBOOT.PBP
Just rename it to the game proper name like "Castlevania - Symphony of the Night [NTSC-U].PBP"
Retro-arch reads the files just fine ;)

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
