I notice that if I transfer BIN/CUE or PBP files via QCMA (mp4) and rename them to their original file format with Vitashell, the games don't show up in Retroarch.

If I use filezilla, they work fine. I wonder why this is.

because I don't like causing unnecessary wear to my devices unless I am playing the vita it is turned off...if I am not close to a savepoint I just make a savestate
So you just turn it off and re-apply HENkaku each time? Btw turning your system on and off repeatedly does more damage then just leaving it on (sleep mode) The vita was designed for that.

@frangarcj pushed some patches to both RetroArch and PCSX ReARmed which might give anywhere from 2 to a 4fps speedup. Let's hope that pushes certain games to fullspeed for people who have found performance to be lacking in some games so far.
If i haven't misunderstood this patched that has been pushed and may provide speedups are appied to all retroarch and not just Pcsx rearmed, correct?

If that is the case the whole emulators pack should have the same improvements, correct?

Sleep mode freezing games seems like it's only for some games. Tony hawk 2 and bushido blade don't have any problems going into sleep mode for me. Tomba on the other hand froze.

Also I haven't had any problems saving in game or with save states on 9/27 nightly

ah this rumor again....that age old rumor only applies to moving parts such as a hard drive which the vita does not have.... even if sleep mode is designed for a device that does not mean it does not cause wear and tear...and the funniest part is I see people complaining all the time about problems after using sleep...to answer your question yes I use the email version which works first time everytime

Yeah save states work just fine, but normal in-game saving doesnt as far as I know. And the sleep mode freeze isn't always immediate. Most likely when you go to load another stage or cut-scene then it would freeze.

Hmmmm well its more or less battery wear lol I use my vita too often, I'd be rebooting it like 6 times a day

when a device is on it generates heat which effects ALL hardware

That's odd. I'm thinking the bug is game specific. Tony hawk saves just fine for me in game and I had it running for hours last night. Played for a bit, put it in sleep mode, played more...no problem. Got pretty far and was loading different levels.

Anybody try out FF Vii? Haven't played that in like 15 years lol

I'm still having the "no BIOS found - expect bugs" message on pcsx-rearmed, I have tried:
- transfer BIOS files over qcma (mp4)
-->copy them (not move) and rename with vitashell 1.2 to retroarch/system
-->create folder retroarch/cores/system and copy the files there (selected new path on settings)
- trasfer files over FTP to both folders

File names are SCPH5000.BIN, SCPH5500.BIN, SCPH5502.BIN, SCPH5552.BIN
Any other ideas?

My bios is in data/retroarch/system ...not cores.

Is everyone using multiple bios? I just put SCPH5001.BIN in the directory and haven't had any problems.

Ehhh, it doesn't bother me lol. I don't mind knocking 6 months to a year off of my device if it means I don't have to boot my system multiple times a day. Sleep mode is pretty much my favorite part of both the PSP and Psvita. I've had that poor PSP 1000 since launch day and its still kickin'

Actually I just checked my vita to make sure I told you the right place to put the bios and realized my bios is "SCPH1001.BIN" not 5001

I tried the path you said, I will try the 1001 BIOS now, ty

EDIT: I put SCPH1001.BIN to ra/system over FTP and delete the other BIOS, works like a charm! :D

Are you using the 'move' function in vita Shell after you rename them? There seems to be a bug with this, so you may want to use 'copy' and 'paste' until they work it out.

I should probably add the bios you use depends on the region of the game for example the latest dumped bio for USA is 7001 which only works for usa games and the latest EUR dump is 7502 which only works for EUR games. 1001 is just the first usa bios
