Hi, I'm trying to hack a 2DS on 10.7.0.32E.
I have done the following:

  • formatted the 2DS and the SD card
  • copied the starter kit on the sd card
  • set tubehax dns
  • changed the theme
  • launched the browser and cleared all data
  • setup the browser and typed http://yls8.mtheall.com/spider31hax.php
but every time I get the update NAG error...

Is there any way to make it work?

If you've gotten the update nag message, there is no way to bypass it and get Browserhax working. You will need to find another entrypoint.

Does the NAG still persists if we do a system format? Would like to know but have no way to test for some time (doing some house renovations)

That is actually pretty smart. I would guess maybe not

Apparently there is no way to bypass it on >=10.7.0-32 so a secondary entry point is needed since it is patched and the nag is saved in the savedata
On <10.7.0-32 it can be bypassed setting the date to 1st Jan 2000

At OP:

Don't know why you're accessing that site but you should try this:
Format the 2DS again and the SD, if you don't mind.

When doing the initial Setup, set your DNS are described here:
10.7.0 - 11.0.0: Block the browser version check

  • Set your primary and secondary DNS to 104.236.072.203 before launching the browser so as not to trigger the browser version check.
  • If on this browser version, you ever receive a message to update your browser, it is because your browser has detected it is not running the latest version.
Then follow what is written here:
https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Homebrew-Launcher-(Browser)

But, while doing step 6 and 7, disconnect your wifi from the console. (Bottom Screen's Top Left Corner, Home Menu Icon, and set Wifi to Off)
Do step 6 and 7.

You'll be on Home menu. Now launch the camera and scan the QR code till it asks to open the browser. Say yes but it will fail because of wifi being Off.

Return to Home menu and set Wifi On and go to the browser. It will launch the browserhax immediatly.
