Ever since Pokemon Go became popular, everyone refers to the franchise as "Pokemon Go" instead of simply Pokemon, especially when the content has nothing to do with Pokemon Go and just contains plain Pokemon.
May i ask why people do this? I can only assume it's for clickbaiting very young children.

"Everyone"? I don't think I've seen anyone refer to the entire Pokemon series as just "Pokemon Go" myself.

So unless you're just looking at news organizations who have 0 idea on anything gaming and are just going for clickbait, no idea why you think it's "everyone".

...As someone who's really lost interest in the series in the past few years...I've got nothing.
I'm glad you know that, nice to know someone was reading my comments, and remembering them as well as care enough to do so. :)

But i do understand your response and is respected. SO i guess i should ask, why are you excited for pokemon sun and moon? You should have five reasons at least for that right?

Hmm. To be fair, I'm not entirely excited at all either. Let's see...
1. There's going to be new versions of old Pokemon. An Ice type Sandshrew might be pretty cool
2. The metagame. Even though I don't keep up with Pokemon anymore, the online battles and tournaments are SO much fun. A whole new generation of Pokemon is going to throw all sorts of crazy fun into all the tiers and competitive brackets.
3. That one little dog Pokemon (according to Google it's called Rockruff) is adorable.
4. There might be some good music?
5. It's Pokemon, and playing it makes you hip and cool with all the kids.

Okay that does sound cool. I mean i remember when i saw mario first get ice powers and throw snowballs, so you got me there.

Ummm okay, i guess this is a personal reason.

4. There might be some good music?
After the way i seen you speak about undertale music, i think you just might be a Video game music connoisseur. So i suppose i must respect my equal on this behalf, but has pokemon been known for any good music? (Besides the arrangements and remixes in Super smash bros games)

I made up the nickname clickbait chary for you, don't make me start calling you sellout chary or Cop out chary. Lol :P

I do acknowledge some points, one thing i kinda like to know is where does the popularity of pokken tournement stand since hardly anyone mentions it but it is a pokemon game. At least is a GAME more than pokemon go is, so i just wonder, can anyone answer this question?

the Pokemon Go fad is dying anyway
And to make matters worse, Nintendo stupidly delayed the release of that Pokémon Go watch-device-thingy which would have sold like hotcakes but by the time it's out.. no one will care.

I've not heard a single person refer to Pokemon on the whole as Pokemon Go, only the phone app game as that. Are you making up this statistic? Or do you just hang out with some really out of touch people? Because in my experience, this isn't a thing at all.

it's just ignorance..
for the same reason every single pokemon species is "pikachu"
or every console is either a playstation or a gameboy
or every camera used for sports is a gopro

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Because they are gameboys, only newer with more features!
my mom calls my 3ds as playstation
and back in the day when i had the PSP it was a gameboy
