Linux instructions:
Warning: for 3DS firmware version 11.1.0+ set SSID to attwifi and stay away of using BASE1,BASE16,BASE256 - you won't able to get streetpasses from Windows users anymore!

So @duke_srg , I've been using the VM homepass for years without problem with option BASE256,GBATEMP,18,49,77,78,94.

Now if I update to 11.1 I need to:
-update nzone script to attwifi SSID
-delete BASE* option and some numbers and use "nzone GBATEMP,49"

That right? Or can I still use BASE256,GBATEMP,49 ?? Because I don't understand your quote above.

Thanks

For people using NBAHomepass, you will still get streetpasses if you select "FNAC Belgium" as the service you connect to, instead of MarcoPolo.
edit : I suppose the name of the service implies that this will work for European/Australian 3DS only.
Good news, I'll check this one (honestly skipped FNACs when was checking)
And no, the hotspot list is common for all regions, so it might work for any region, like attwifi or NZ@MCd1 recently did (though service may be region/country locked, like several Nintendo Zone - enabled SSID)

If this is the farthest maccheck gets, and just hangs forever here (I waited for half an hour), does that mean my network adapter is useless for it?
Would it work if I installed Linux?
Nevertheless, you could try nzone.exe or try to install a different driver.
Linux method should work fine, you could even try VM method, but current image is not fixed with the new nintendozone domain name, which requires some manual job after install.

That's good to know, will try it later.
EDIT: Can confirm "FNAC Belgium" still gives streetpasses, however I keep getting the same 2 hits with every MAC change
In that case I dounbt we should spread between several SSIDs, at least unless we have more people to check how it is working now. I already started to think I'm getting the same people with attwifi, but mabe more then 2, because every morning I get full 10 set of them.

Damn, this is bad! Is this situation different using, for example, ubuntu?
ANY Linux method, includung for router or VM allows you to set the exact MAC (unlike in native Windows), so you can use attwifi and get (I believe), stretpasses from the real SpotPass access points in the US.

So @duke_srg , I've been using the VM homepass for years without problem with option BASE256,GBATEMP,18,49,77,78,94.

First, make sure to change the nintendozone script domain name to dynu.net
Then you're right, AP name must be set to attwifi. NZ@McD1 was used to share streetpasses with Windows users, since fw11.1 it is not working anymore.
BASE* was used for compatibility with Windows users too, so not of much sence keeping using it. With attwifi you could get the streetpasses from real pople passed US SpotPass hotspots, with GBATEMP - visit people, who can't cycle MACs at home. While with BASE* - only people which cycles MACS with BASE*.

I am fairly new to this homepass thing. Can you please explain what I need to do to change the service from marcopolo to FNAC Belgium? Thanks.

Make sure you've downloaded the latest version of NBAHomepass which is 2.1. Run as normal with CMD choose your Wifi connetion, and then option 1) FNAC Belgium, 2) Pokemon Centre or 3) GAME Spain. I've tried them all and recieved streetpasses for each one.

Can you confirm you have met the same people at each of the available? Because if so, it just means several people cycled through the SSIDs after update 11.1 and put their streetpas sdata here. So Instead of having one SSID and cycling MACS, we would be spreaded with several SSIDs. In that case I suggest using NZ@McD, which is Italy MCDonalds (looks like in older versions it was tagged Spain)

Thank you very much. I was using an outdated version.

There are some repeat hits but also some new ones with each MAC change, so I'm not certain. Also there is no option for NZ@McD, just the 3 from my earlier post.

No problem, glad I could help.

That's the case when diversity is not good. I slacked several Nintendo Zone changes and then BAM - and NBA method spreaded people to different SSIDs :(

Upd: I could try to add a simple dialog-based GUI installation option for nzone.exe with no elevated command prompt execution required (though it would inquire for elevated mode on execution). Command line mode and the execution will be kept certainly untouched. Will this make sense for anyone?

I guess you could, if it would help anyone who can't get nzone to execute properly (myself included).

You must not use attwifi because it is useless, you won't get any streetpass In windows because it is an open system SSID, while Windows only allows to create a protected AP.
Recently it was NZ@McD1 open system from Germany, now it is NZ@McD protected from Italy.
You won't get more streetpass from FNAC or any other, because Nintendo hah switched of streetpass relaying between MACs for European SSIDs too, so you oly getting streetpass from the limited number of people using the same ssid and similar wireless adapter driver. The more different SSIDs you use, the less people you've got.

.exe is for windows, you wrote about Windows10 x64 can't download it. In case you get the empty file, check your antivirus exception. File is hardly packed and cyphered so may look suspicious. Even nintendozone site reported so in Google.

Great! Please report in several hours how many different people was met in plaza.
Also if you able to, please PM your browser agent string, I'll check why OS version was not detected

What script version you're using?
Um... what?
If I understand your question correctly, NbaHomePass.exe BASE256.txt true 300 30 or C:\nzone.exe start BASE256

Also, I just noticed I'm not ghetting streetpasses from NZ@McD. I think I'm forgetting a step. Isnt there something with 3DS connection?
