How cute, Microsoft debunking claims about their operating system, Microsoft will always defend their brand. I'm a developer myself and I'm constantly having to fight with the APIs in order to get them to behave the way they're advertised, something which is actually surprisingly difficult. COM is a joke, DX is a nightmare, and it's easy to get kernel memory in usermode, something that should
never happen. I primarily develop for Linux and OS X, and other *NIX platforms, and the only non-*NIX OS I develop for is the only OS I have any major issues with. From weird bugs that crop up in otherwise harmless situations, to full blown crashes because a Windows API simply doesn't behave as expected. That's not
my fault, I can't babysit Windows APIs and services to make sure they behave properly, and you can defend it all you want. The fact of the matter is that Windows 10
does have resource issues, especially with memory management, that no other platform I've developed for has ever had. Weird memory leaks with seemingly no source is one such issue.
EDIT:
Quit using your own experiences as a metric, that's anecdotal at best, do some actual research before making silly assertions, everything I posted above can be verified simply by checking other projects, or blogs bemoaning certain aspects of windows development.
Just because
you don't get memory leaks from windows, doesn't mean
others don't, Windows is
not a universal experience, and acting like it is is ignorant at best, and woefully dishonest at worst.
