Try moving the Forwarder3-DS folder to your hard drive root, and run the .jar file.
This worked! Just one more question (sorry if I'm pestering you :P): where does the .dat file go? I couldn't quite gather from the guide where it should go.

Hate to break it to you, but exploit research is slowly coming to a stop as there are plenty of options to choose from, allready. There are probably still some exploits being worked on but with decreasing demand comes decreasing activity...

Well I guess there's really no way to do cafe for my 3ds then

Seems very expensive. That the only Flashcart compatiable with version 11?
Yes. Your only other options are to either get your current 3ds hardmodded for a downgrade, buy another ds to downgrade, then sell your current one, or find someone who already has a hacked ds to do a dsiware downgrade with.

Just installed CFW and am ready to mess around with everything I can. What should I avoid doing if I don't want to get banned from the eShop?

Is there any way to get a Korean emunand? I already got EUR, USA, and JPN. Having Korea would be fun.

I have a N3DS with 9.2 a9lh sysnand. I only use emunand when using my N3DS. I think i sawsomeone say it was not possible as there is no 9.2 firmware for Korean devices. But I can't see why I would need a 9.2 version. All my emunand are updated to 11.

Is it just a matter of finding a current firmware dump? Can I grab the files needed with one of the NUSgrabber(?) tools?

You can't dump anything without a hardmod if you don't have an exploitable firmware. There isn't a point in really keeping "public" firmwares if you aren't going to be able to use them. You can probably get everything needed with 3dnus though (you will have a lack of a "legit" secureinfo_a if you care about that so much).

I want to do the dsiware downgrade, but is there a way that I can do it and keep all of my games with saves on the unhacked 3ds
  • Set up homebrew and use JKSM to backup their saves
  • When finished downgrading, system transfer back to the original hacked 3ds (if you care about keeping FieldRunners and anything else on that NNID, otherwise just format)
  • When finished hacking your console, relink its original NNID
  • Redownload all your games
  • Use JKSM to reinject back all the saves

I have a question: before I installed a CFW I had alot of games installed on my 3DS but during the process of installing the CFW one of the steps required replacing the files inside the dbs folder ( title.db and import.db) which caused the games to disappear.

The games are still on the SD card based on the amount of space used on the card.
My question is: Is there a way to make the games appear again without having to redownload them?

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
