Hacking How to install 2 identical CIA Files (e.g. 2 copies of Pokemon Omega Ruby) on the same 3ds?

Hi. I'm wondering if it's possible to install 2 copies or a Pokemon game in my 3DS. I've already installed one omega ruby CIA on my 3DS and I'm trying to install the same CIA again so I can have omega ruby on the home screen twice. I share the 3DS so I'm trying to get multiple copies of the same games so we can all have an individual save file. When I try to install the CIA for the second time on Title Manager I get an error saying program already exists, import cancelLed. Thanks for your help

From my knowledge you can't but save files are possible. It would be possible to code your own savefile switcher but that is probably beyond you. The way you'll have to go with is using jks save manager to backup each save each time it changes and re inject depending on who's playing. If you have a huge sd card you can make separate emunands for everyone which would be the best and easiest option

To answer your question, the only way to do this without multiple emuNANDs would be to edit the UniqueID. I'm sure there's a guide for it somewhere.

Is it an old 3DS? Why not have different SD cards each with a different emuNAND on them. When one kid wants to play they insert their SD card in and all the games have only their saves.

Or, you can use JKSM as suggested above. It is quite handy since you can give the saves different names. You should back the saves up regularly though in case one kid saves their save on top of another kid's save.

How about get another 3DS? The children will undoubtedly fight over who gets to play.
I agree with this, and then the kids can battle each other. This was always the funnest part of Pokemon for me as a kid (needed gameboy link cables and things back then, easier now).

Does anyone here actually know how to install 2 of the same game? Does it matter if it's modded? Got a little project going on ;)

I would just pick up a few 2ds consoles. Depending on age, 3D shouldn't be used by younger kids. Along with that, the 2ds is now pretty cheap, and you could get an even better price if you pick them up used.
