Saw it on Amazon.
there is actually a 256GB micro SD card from Samsung.
but you may have to break a leg or a bank to buy it.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01G7L03OS

it's yours only for $229.99.
It's very new.
Samsung EVO Select Micro SDXC Memory Card, 256GB, 95MB/s.

i think the new 3DS should handle it if you format it in FAT32,however i heard some problems with cards 128GB and above.
so,i really won't recommend it,also it's very expensive and cost more than two 64GB PS Vita memory.

You'd fill that 300 game limit much faster than reach 256GB.

Also, for o3DS users, there is a 512GB SDXC card available. If you really need it.

To snipe as many people as possible: it all depends on what you actually install. Praise emulators, vcs (because they are better than emulators?), and random homebrew cias.

Just how could the o3DS even use a sd card that size I thought it couldn't read anything above 100gb without issues

no the problem is the file format of sdxc sd cards ( 32 gb or over) but you can use a program to format them to fat32 then they are fine
I'm not sure how an o3ds handles larger sd cards, but it should be fine as long as it's not a micro sd card...
no prob i use a 128 gb micro sd (in a sd converter)
