Yay! After 7 hours of problems, failing checks and other stuff I made it. That was one of a hell ride.

So, well... I did everything in Pailect guide (thanks so much for this work) and everything is dendy, but how do I run roms from now? Should I use specific loaders? What formats? It wasn't explained in the guide (for obvious reasons tho). What do I do from now?

So it was//is a faulty SD Cards? Anywho, I was going to reply with some other offshoot ideas, but had to leave to see a friend. Glad you got it sorted tho. ^_^

Ah, well then. Go ahead and try what Temarile suggested then. Hope it fixes it. ^_^
Im sttill not sure if the SD is faulty, It still works and i ran H2 on it found no errors Im not sure if I should use this SD for EmuNAND?(Is this safe?)
Thanks once again for your time

You download them in .CIA format from that iso site, and use FBI to install them. Or you use freeShop. Or you convert .3ds dumps to .cia format and install them via FBI.

I don't know, I'd just use the one that works for the whole tutorial, and use that other SD Card, once everything has been setup properly with A9LH.

This explains a lot. But I just downloaded freeshop.cia and fbi doesn't see it, even though it sees other cia files. Do they have to be in specific place or something? I'm confused.

Im rather scared of getting Al9H Considering it has high brickrates accoring to people... Do I NEED Al9H for Emunand/CFW?

You don't need A9LH. And most bricks are user error, unless you are the unlucky percent that bricks. Anyways, if you want to go the MenuHax+EmuNAND//RedNAND route, you sort of need your SD Card to be readable and usable by EmuNAND9, if you can manage to do that, then I don't see why you wouldn't be able to go for that setup.

Use the QR Code installer function of FBI. freeShop does have a QR code for that use.

Basically you want to use Plailect's A9LH Guide for your Menuhax+RedNAND//EmuNAND setup.
Link: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki

But instead of finishing it, you stop at Part 4, Section I, Step 26. This way you have created proper backups of your SysNAND and EmuNAND//RedNAND and have injected FBI into your RedNAND//EmuNAND.

From here you'll want to change the trigger type of your menuhax to something you prefer, like type 2 autoboot or whatever.

Then you want to look into improving your bootrate via reading this.

Ill do that Thanks!. I know bricking for AL9H is slim... But i just dont want to risk it, It took me quite a while to decide to go to 9.2 and i almost gone mad when backing up sysnand didnt work, now thats all fixed I think via HB is fine for now

You need to get to 9.2.0, and from there you have to decide if you want A9LH or can live with Menuhax+RedNAND//EmuNAND.

For the 9.2.0 update, use Plailect's A9LH Guide.
Link: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/9.2.0-Update

Follow whatever corresponds to you on that graph.

Once that's done, you move on to Part 1 of the guide. Skipping Part 2 as it does not relate to you.

If you want a menuhax+RedNAND//EmuNAND setup, then you stop stop at Part 4, Section I, Step 26. This way you have created proper backups of your SysNAND and RedNAND//EmuNAND and have injected FBI into your RedNAND//EmuNAND.

If you want to go all out and get A9LH, then you don't stop and you finish the guide. A9LH has 100% bootrate, and allows you get rid off RedNAND//EmuNAND and offers brick protection, and recovery tools at boot time, however, YOU MUST follow the guide as written, if you deviate, if you rush, if you skip anything, your chances of bricking go up. Again, most bricks are user error. The guide has made the process to get A9LH pretty simple, all you need is to read carefully, and to follow all the instructions, and most importantly to take your time with it.

Is this specific for freeshop or other cias too?

Damn, pretty sure this is the friendliest thread in the whole internet ^^
Some other homebrew .cias have their own QR codes. But not all.

So is A9LH recommended?, I don't quite get the whole menuhax+RedNAND//EmuNAND setup thingy?
Menuhax+RedNAND//EmuNAND is consider the simplest and safest route if you are already on 9.2 or don't want to finish the guide and are afraid of bricking. However, today most A9LH bricks are user error, so as long as you follow the guide to the letter, do not skip any steps. Then you should be fine serting up A9LH. Also A9LH can be very time consuming for newbies.

The choice is yours on what you decide.

I think im reading this incorrectly.... But did i just read you can go to 2.1 EMUNAND and get al9h from there? so that would rule out breaking sysnand(Bricking your console?)

We downgrade EmuNAND to 2.1. Then we use OTPHelper to verify it and unbrick it (unbricking only needed on N3DS) - Then if it checks out as a valid downgraded EmuNAND it is then flashed onto our SysNAND. We still need to get to 2.1 on our SysNAND, so we can install A9LH and retrieve our OTP.bin. We just have a lot of safety steps to ensure we do it correctly per the guide. However, there is still that tiny tiny tiny little chance you are unlucky and you brick. However, most bricks I have read have always been user error. Not saying they all are, but most are.

If you don't want to take the chance with A9LH, then I guess do what I told you in the first place. Which was the following:

If at a later time, you decide you want to switch to A9LH, then it'd be pretty easy to do that. The guide even tells you how to go from a current MenuHax+RedNAND//EmuNAND setup to following the guide.

If you already have a CFW setup on any version between 9.0.0 and 9.2.0, change menuhax to type 1, set your menuhax trigger to D-Pad down, then start the guide at Part 4. Note that anywhere "RedNAND" is mentioned, you can pretend it says "EmuNAND" instead as they are very similar and the instructions will be the same other than that.
Taken from the Get Started section.
