I have all my parts hooked up besides my gpu (Still waiting for it to come in) and cooler.

I looked at how to build a Gaming PC by Austin Evans and after I connected all cords I just wanted to see if it would turn on but sadly it wouldn't flash a light or anything?

I'd say just call someone who has experience in PC building. There are literally hundreds of things that might go wrong with troubleshooting based on talking to someone over the internet.

Most Motherboards have a LED to indicate status of the motherboard.See if you have an LED in your motherboard. If you have an LED see if the LED lights on or not.If no then you must reinstall the power supply cable to the motherboard.Or see the connections in the PSU unit with the help of somebody or the internet. If you dont get power supply to the computer,The motherboard does not get power supply.Ithink this is the reason.

Blurry picture hurts my eyes trying to look for specific details...

If there is a motherboard LED and it is lit, then make sure that all the front panel IO cables are plugged in properly (e.g. PWR_SW, PWR_LED, HDD_LED, RESET_SW and optionally SPEAKER). Use the manual that came with the motherboard for reference as to which goes where.

Also, use the manual to check on which memory slots you should put your memory in to enable dual-channel mode. I'm pretty sure how the memory is in now, it will only run in single-channel mode thus running at half the normal speed.

it probably the motherboard headers (don't worry, we have all been there...)
refer to the mobo manual and case manual to see where they go

if that doesnt work, test the psu

Contrary to popular belief it does not improve cooling

Not that im saying that rats nest is ok...

That test isn't ideal. The environment isn't like some of those that I've seen. If you live in a fairly hot space, the open air flow helps, A LOT.

You should really clean up that cabling though. Especially since looking at the rig build up, you have case with a window. I'd understand if you didn't have a window, but come on, if it has a window, you should clean up that cabling for a smexxy look. Anyways, good luck on fixing your latest issue.

It will be the same regardless of where its located as long as the ambient temp stays the same for all tests, point being a few cables are suddenly not going to restrict air flow.
As I said I don't endorse that rats nest of wires, the case being a $30-40 case will have terrible airflow anyway along with poor cable management so there is only so much you can do with it, had that problem with my last case.

It actually won't. I can actually speak from experience. There's many varying factors, not even just cables. Fans, fan speeds. I don't believe a test in an air conditioned room. You can, if you really want to.

If there's not already an OS on your drive, you'll need to boot with some sort of boot media (a Windows/Linux disc or USB stick) to install to the HDD.
Any reason the HDD is slotted like that? I doubt it's hurting the drive itself but it's hurting my eyes.
