What can I do homebrew wise with a Old 3ds XL that's on firmware version 10.5 and a New 3ds XL on firmware version 11.0? My current report is that I'm gonna install Linux side of my PC and use that to launch Smashhax then install basehaxx or VVVVVVhax either way. My old 3DS XL will be running off browserhax. Another thing, I had homebrew before and I softbricked my new 3ds by trying to downgrade and ended up updating. With now knowing I can homebrew again, is there a way to downgrade again. If not on my Old 3ds too?

With your o3ds, you can do almost anything. This includes homebrew access, downgrading, and getting cfw. I'm sure browser hax should work on it. You virtually have full access to your device (after downgrading)
On your n3ds, your only option to get homebrew is smashhax (I think) and freakyhaxx.

I don't have a pure Linux and freakyhaxx is now rising in price like 60 dollars on Amazon I think. I thought I heard browserhax website is down? Anything else in detail?

Not necessarily. If the OP has ORAS, he can install basehaxx for n3DS use via browserhax on the o3DS.

Browserhax was working again I thought. I don't use that anymore as I downgraded.

Link to basehaxx?
You need to something to your save to use it. This means you need a primary hax already available

I heard like the website went down today. I can't really access it. I don't know if yellow8 has a Twitter. Or even he posted anything about this.

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
