Hacking can i use a Canon SD Card 32GB on my 3Ds ?

Hey, i bought from ebay for 3$ (cheeeap) a Canon SD Card 32GB and would ask:
Can i run this Card on my O3Ds XL ?

ps.My 3Ds is hacked and has a Homebrew.

Yep. I have some cheap 32gb sd that works fine, don't see why yours wouldn't.
EDIT: Just realised you bought it for $3, I'd suggest running it through some software to check if that thing actually holds 32gb.

With a $3 32GB SD card, I would only advise to make backups of it every single day, if you don't want to lose your saves.

I mean, that thing could probably just die at any moment, since it's likely to be just a counterfeit product, unless you bought it from somewhere safe (i.e. retail store, sold and fulfilled by Amazon, etc.) and not from some eBay seller.

I just asked this Question because i was not sure and the Card costs only 3$, and it was strange for me, and i thought it will not work cuz the price was so cheap...sorry for the Question @All -.-

Well, RDC also has a built-in third-party marketplace system like Amazon, FNAC and Cdiscount do (and they tend to list the lowest price first), so basically same as buying it off eBay, it does not mean that it was legit.

EDIT: Also, in some cases you could buy a counterfeit 64GB or 128GB card only to find that it has only 4GB or 8GB real capacity.

SD cards (and NAND flash devices in general) usually have an area of spare sectors reserved as replacements for bad sectors if/when they show up. That having been said, getting it to show these sectors as "normal" storage area requires hacking the controller, which is probably not a good thing to do if you care about reliability at all. (Though you could say that for overclocking in general.)

You should run FakeFlashTest to test the capacity: http://www.rmprepusb.com/tutorials/-fake-usb-flash-memory-drives
If it passes that doesn't mean the card isn't counterfeit but only that it will actually hold 32 GB. It could still be low quality and fail within weeks/months.

Well, you could probably overclock the SD reader, but it's currently impossible on the 3DS (or at least, no one released something AFAIK). Still, it probably won't increase the speeds by much, but will create more SD card heating and could provoke damage.

I would make sure that it is really a 32GB card. If it was 3 bucks on eBay, I think it is counterfeit.

He sayd its real 32GB.

And his Ratings was perfect^^.Thats ever what i do: Before i Buy something from ebay, i look the sellers Ratings .
