Gaming Pokemon ORAS: Eon Ticket?

Do you consider a homepass relay to be a legitimate way of obtaining an Eon Ticket in Pokemon: ORAS?

I have the eon ticket on my japanese 3ds and my us 3ds. One i got through streetpass at McDonald's the other was got during the event. Unfortunately no one ever seems to streetpass me, so I haven't been able to spread it far.

Do you know how to use homepass? If so, I can share mine with you.
But that wouldnt be legitimate like the TC is asking for since homepass isnt officially endorsed by Nintendo.

Keep on fighting the good fight TC, even if it takes you another two years.

How is that not legitimate? As far as the 3DS units are concerned it's just like a regular Street pass relay.

Wow, makes me feel grateful it only took me a couple days to get my ticket at Burger King. And I live in the middle of nowhere.

I will try to set up a homepass relay this week when I have some free time and I will try it so thank you.
I know I could get it if i hack my game, but I played every pokemon game since childhood and obtained
everything I could legitimately! Hacking ORAS to get the Eon Ticket wouldn't feel the same lol

But did the game developers intend for the Eon ticket to be spread in such a manner?

nope, didnt think so.

I don't think game developers intent for a lot of things to happen.
And in any case, I don't think the game develops are going to cry themselves to sleep because someone found an easier way to get an item they probably put little thought into.

It's not even hacking in, it's just setting up a way to get something when next to no one still plays ORAS and even less people take it out in public.

Do what you want and I'm not one to judge. But using homepass is just the same as "hacking", whatever your interpretation of illegitimate is. I'm just calling out a hypocrite when I see one.

Do you understand the difference between legitimate and illegitimate? I'm not an anti cheater or whatever you want to think but you people are deluding yourself if you think homepass is any different than using powersaves or what have you.

You seem like the deluded one buddy.
There's nothing illegitimate about setting up a streetpass point. It won't get you banned, Nintendo has neither kicked up a stink about it or done anything to stop it. Literally all it's doing is bringing streetpasses to you faster than going out and hoping someone plays their system in public and in turn, plays Pokemon. It's not hacking Nintendo or any systems in the slightest.

Now, down to how it is received. How is triggering the exact same method that you trigger by streetpassing someone in public to get the ticket the same as physically altering your save so it's in there?

It's the same as knowing someone at EB/Gamestop who has distribution carts and getting a Pokemon off them after hours. Guess you'd call that illegitimate too huh?

Show me where its encouraged or instructed by Nintendo as a means to get streetpass or just be quiet.

You still dont get what legitimate means so I'll make this easy for you

Do you know of a thing called "implied consent"? If Nintendo never stated that something was against the 3DS terms of service (Like custom firmware is) and made no effort to discourage players from using it than either they think it's fine or they couldn't care less if you do it or not.

Homepass is setup exactly like a real Street pass relay anyway and helps people in remote locations where Nintendo isn't even active use the service. It's the reason the relays were made in the first place.

If that were the case then homebrew is legitimate since it's never stated by Nintendo they are against it. Each and every update is suppose to improve stability, never once mentions being against homebrew.

I already mentioned that. If you actually read your 3DS user manual, (or any Nintendo user manual for their hardware for that matter) they say again and again that use of unauthorized software/hardware voids your warranty and may damage your system.

Homepass is also unauthorized and not am approved method to gain streetpass.

Jump through some more hoops please to prove your "point."

Stop being a douche. You're contributing nothing to this thread at all besides your constant whining because people want to home pass instead of using nintendos street pass. Either shut up and help, or leave. Also, homepass is better than street pass because it allows people to get the legit event that can be passed around without needing to use a powersave device. Using powersave or pkhex (for those of us with CFW) is considered to be non legitimate. Homepass is in no way considered "illegal" by game freak or Nintendo because it doesn't involve stealing and/or selling their events.

My god you're dense, homepass has nothing to do with anything that happens on a 3DS system, does it modify anything on the system? No. All Nintendo cares about is if you bootleg their games.

TL;DR "I'm gonna whine like a brat because I'm unable to prove you wrong."

Your modifying the way you receive streetpass since it's illegitimate. The keyword since the very first post is LEGITIMATE.

So your also saying Nintendo doesn't care about online cheating either? Tell me more how they're only concern is 2nd market bootlegs please.

When has Nintendo ever tried to break Homepass with a system update? That's right never. The other things you're equating it to on the other hand, (Cheating, and Piracy) Nintendo has made a concerted effort to curb. Which would imply they don't want it happening yes?
