Hi everybody !

As the title says it, I have a 2DS on 9.2.0-20U with a Gateway.
I have been using the browser exploit to launch the Gateway mode.

The problem is my school has recently updated the internet system and now we have to use a username and a password to be able to use internet. I have been connecting my 2DS to internet through the Nintendo browser logging first, then launch the browser exploit.
However it's not working anymore. My school has updated again the system and it seems it's not recognizing the 2DS when logging.

Worst is my school is also limiting the internet access. Only 2 devices (computer and phone) can connect online at the same time through the router using the wifi. For some reasons using the computer as a hotspot is also impossible to connect my 2DS. The school is intentionally disconnecting your internet doing so.

I have been struggling to find a way to connect my 2DS online in order to launch the browser exploit without success.

So I'd like to know please if there are any offline options to launch the browser exploit with a Gateway.

Thank you very much:gba:

PS: If this helps, because I heard some applications might help to connect online, I have an iPhone 4S, and living in a country limiting internet, any Google applications won't work.

PS*: I don't want to use any CWF on my 2DS. I only want to use the Gateway. It's easier for me to use.

You could try a cart based exploit, but you'll need help from a friend with an open 3ds to install the exploit into the cart.

I really suggest you to go somewhere with better wifi connection. I did some browserhax live demos with an apple store wireless some time ago for the lols and keks. Try a relatives house or something.

Or, you know, turn off your phone and laptop for 20 minutes. Once the files are placed, it's only the 3ds who needs connection.

Oh and I don't buy the hotspot thing. There's literally no way for them to know how many devices are you using with software like connectify.

Yes, definitely set up menuhax if you want an offline CFW-boot solution! (Consider reading up on lesshax too, which is a simple hotfix to menuhax to make the bootrate more consistent)

Alternatively, Gateway may be releasing an A9Hax (A9LH) solution for their users in the coming month, which boots as soon as the system starts up (100% consistent boot rate, ~8 second bootup). This is the same A9LH that free CFW users have been using: We'll see what happens!

Thank you so much !

Setup//Install Menuhax to autoboot, and then setup CtrBootManager to autoboot GW.3dsx.

And that's basically it.

Would Ninjhax work to launch GW.3dsx?

Between Ninjhax and MenuHax, which one would be better or more convenient to use?

I do own Clubic Ninja, would it work to launch the exploit offline?

I have tried to turn off my laptop, phone and shut down internet, then tried to connect my 2DS, it's still not working, everytime I try to log in with my username and password, the page doesn't load. I Also tried to clean the browser's cache, it doesn't work either.
It seems my school's internet is blocking video games devices.
I encounter the same issue with my PSVITA.

So you have Cubic Ninja. Unfortunately, ninjhax also requires web connection.

This shouldn't work, but try:
1. Put wifi on in home menu.
2. Download from your laptop the payload for 9.2 here (ropbin one I think, download both just in case)
3. Download the homebrew launcher starter kit if you haven't already
3. Copy the payload and the homebrew launcher starter kit to your SD card root (boot.3dsx and POST5_... files should be in the root).
4. Go on here and get the QR code.
5. Start cubic ninja and go to the Scan QR menu. If the exploit is already in the save it might automatically work his way into homebrew launcher.
6. If not, Scan the QR you got in 4 and pray. It should always crash, as you dont have connection.
7. If it does not crash it should work his way into homebrew launcher.

If you are stuck in 6, check an old version of connectify and configure a connection. Try again from 5.

Menuhax is definitely best for you, but here's another option (not a very good one): downgrade your 2DS to 4.5 and use the DS profile exploit. The danger with this is it could stuff up the saves for your games. This can be gotten around by doing backups and converting things before & after. Don't know the details.

If he can get into the Gateway Menu once more he can use Gateway's downgrader. He says he has an iPhone - why not tether?

If that's not an option, he can buy a game that will update him to 9.2 (e.g. Cooking Mama Bon Appetit or Gardening Mama Forest Friends for Eur region) and then use Ninjhax 2.x which doesn't require internet.

If he can tether for gateway menu he can also tether for menuhax installation as he is already in 9.2. Still dismissed.

Oh and ninjhax 2.X still requires net connection.

Thank you very much:), that worked like a charm, I went to a coffee shop for a better internet connection:P
