Hi,

Sorry if this has discussed before, I am sure it has but I couldn't find it. I have a genuine copy of Mario Kart 8 and also a copy from the net. I would to get and play with the extra tracks - ideally for free from somewhere!

Can the add-on tracks be added to my Loadiine version? I can't connect the wii u to the internet to buy the tracks... So what do people do?

Thanks.

You can only play DLC on Loadiine that you have purchased and downloaded on your wii u. You can't play for free. Says right in the loadiine thread.

But I can't connect my wii to the e-shop as it will what to update itself (I'm on 5.3.2), right?

I have seen the dlc as a download on the net, I thought someone had worked out how to load them? I think it needs SSB. I am probably wrong! I'll try and find more info if no one else chips in...

Thats why you should have bought it before locking your system to 5.3.2. Thats what I did even though I'm on 5.5.1.

mmm, thanks for that!

What's the best way to buy these DLC tracks etc? I'm on 5.3.2 and would like to do so.

I don't think you can. This is the point of my thread. Well I think you can only use the pirated version on the net - I'm just not sure how. Or update your wii u, buy the DLC and use as per the loadiine instructions.

MK8 DLC tracks can be loaded by replacing the course data of the original tracks with the DLC track data. It's highly unconventional but it works. As of right now, updated versions of MK8 do not run in Miimaker mode, only SSB, so you will need an SSB disc

You can get on the eshop easily by first spoofing to 5.5.1. Then use NNU patcher. You can go online, buy DLC, buy etitles etc. I used to do it all the time on my 5.4.0.

I'm a bit confused about the process.

I have the DLC legally bought & installed on my Wii U, but all Ive read about ddd was about dumping the game, not the dlc. What If I just want to dump the DLC?

SSB disc on it's way. Now just have to find those DLC tracks...

Yeah tell me how that goes, considering Loadiine can only access DLC from the console
This isn't correct. When you buy games an dlc it's stored to the NAND? Loadiine cannot read from the NAND so there must be some minor trickery that can be done here? My guess is when you download an install dlc is alters some files on the game (mario kart 8) so loadiine can't do this but surely we could change or add the files needed? I could be completely wrong here but I have been lookin into it

You're probably right, I don't know the exact intricacies of how it works. I just know that it does and that you can't just download 'n drop DLC

Loadiine load update and DLC from SD card.
DLC already installed i console (from eshop with NNUS patcher) can be extracted with DDD (look at ddd thread).
Then you can load the files with loadiine.
