I dl'ed a weird piece of DLC for FE Fates which unlocked unplayable units like Garon and Mikoto and ever since then soft resetting or beginning the game takes way too long, much longer than it ever had (10-15 seconds, which gets annoying when you restart a lot).

I manually deleted each of those DLC, then installed a different set (without the unplayable characters), but the loading speed hasn't changed at all.

Do I have a way out?

"Solved" the problem in an interesting way, erasing all my saves by accident.

However, now there's a new problem - installing DLC won't make it appear in the game at all. If I try to delete manual DLC maps from the Extras menu, it says there's nothing to delete from, whereas going to Dragon's Gate says there's "no SD Card" (how am I playing on my cfw without one then???). Installing different versions of DLC doesn't resolve the problem.

Help anyone?

It takes too long because the Awakening characters, Chrom, Frederick, and Lissa are saved into the extdata of the game in the SD card. They aren't in the main game itself, and that's why DeathChaos made it like that to have those units be playable. To remove them, you have to delete the extdata, which also means removing 6 of your extra save datas since that's where they're also saved.

As mentioned earlier, DeathChaos stated before in his release that the extra data loading taking too long is normal if you installed the Awakening assets.

I wiped save data entirely, which didn't fix the loading problem, so I uninstalled the game and installed it again. However, since I hadn't had any idea about the difference between normal saves and Extdata until then, 2/3rds of my saves got lost.

It's been loading just fine since then, but everytime I try to get DLC to work again, the game tells me there's nothing on my SD Card! Well, that can't make any sense since I am using my SD Card to play the thing in the first place!

You may need to reinstall the DLC.

I've installed different versions of DLC but with no success.

Also, even though I didn't have to use NTR CFW anymore, I tried running that just in case (the dlc is regionfree) - no luck.

"Could not detect an SD Card.
Please download the content again."

...is the exact message I'm getting when trying to access DLC through Dragon's Gate.

Before this, simply installing a new DLC pack for the game worked just fine. I don't think I even needed to use NTR CFW (the DLC was regionfree). Running NTR CFW doesn't help at all.

Yes, I've uninstalled and reinstalled different versions (11-13) of DLC using both FBI and BBM. It still remains undetected... :(
