Ok, I managed to explot my 5.5.0 WiiU and run ddd to backup my Mario Kart 8 game to a folder, I ripped the whole thing to a vol folder and it's almost 6GB in size, but now I want to know how I can run it on loadiine gx2, which I also got. I can't find the .wud file and all I have to work with to execute the game are the app.xml and cos.xml files in vol/code. I don't even know what directory (wiiu/apps/loadiine_gx2/...) the game belongs in, or if it should be like this (.../[mk8orsomeotherfilename]/vol/...) or this (.../vol/...).

Can anyone help? I'm on 5.5.0 and I managed to get this far, and I was able to stop my WiiU from updating.

it should be sd/games/yourgames[6digitcode]/code/app.xml, cos.xml, and rpx
saves content/ a bunch of folders that differ for each game

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

it should be sd/games/your game[six digit code]/ code and content
code contains app.xml and cos.xml and rpx
content contains a bunch of files that differ from each game

Thanks, so (sd/games/[mk8's 6-digit code]/[everything that was inside vol])? I can rename the vol folder, but I need a list of the 6-digit codes for each game, or at least mk8's code.

And yes I have the rpx too.

Yes, you can call the folder whatever you want. Also, putting random numbers for the 6 digit code will cause loadine gx2 to not load a cover art for it, it will still be read. Without any code though, the game wont be read at all

i.e
wiiu\games\GameName [VCKE01]\

then inside GameName[VCKE01]
you will have 3 folders:

[VCKE01]=example each game is different.

\code
\content
\meta

^ it looks for those 3 folders

content is usually stored in \data
you have the code folder already
and you should have the meta. if not try from jnustool to get it from an update if you cant find it on jnustool then the game doesn't have an update.

For Mario Kart 8, the code is 82909A, right? It's on the back of the box. So I believe this is the proper directive for MK8:

sd/games/82909A/[code and content]/etc.]

Should the game name have spaces? Which would be best?

MARIOKART8[82909A]
MarioKart8[82909A]
Mario_Kart_8[82909A]
MarioKart8[82909A]

Yeah got it thanks
IT should be Mario Kart 8 [abcd01]

Anything before the 6 digits dont really matter, but make sure that the brackets and game name have a space, or else it wont be read ( it happened to me )

You can name the folder anything you want you just have to have the id in side of brackets [xxxxxx] google "loadiine MK8 id" "mario kart 8 title id" etc.
you will most likely find it

When I was ripping the game, sometimes the ripping would stop because of an interruption. Is this bad? Do I have to delete individual files that did not get ripped properly so it won't skip them on the next rip so it can rip them properly? It happened a few times when I was ripping Mario Kart 8 and when I tried to load it, it didn't load. Help?

I tried loading the game in SSB mode with the SSB disc and it takes me to the Mii Maker. Why is this? What settings do I need to have? I have the code, content, and meta folders ready, and even the save folder outside set to Unique mode since I ripped the save too. What should I do now?

Nvm I figured I have to open Smash but my system is forcing me to update and I figure thats ok since 5.5.1 can be exploited but now I can't update. I keep getting the error code 162-3006.
