I got myself a New Nintendo 3DS XL... And I'm having a hard time deciding how I want to have my 3DS consoles set up.
I have the following:
3DS-4.5.0-10E
3DS-9.2.0-20E
3DSXL-9.4.0-21E - Has the 20 ambassador games (GBA&NES)+ other eShop titles.
N3DSXL-10.7.0-32E

What can I do with these? I know 4.5 can run most flash carts, right? But is that better than any of the options with the newer firmwares?

I have OoT3D and Cubic Ninja. Are those exploits good options?

Is there any way I can do a system transfer between the N3DSXL and the old XL in an emulated NAND state (so that basically both XL consoles end up having the ambassador and eshop stuff)?

My dream outcome would be having the N3DSXL with all the ambassador+eShop stuff, have the ability to download new eShop titles, play online, play backups and have a Homebrew Channel (if that even exists on 3DS? Thought I saw a YouTube video back in like 2012 which featured a HBC, but I never found out if it was fake or not). Is that even possible?

What are my options?
Would still greatly appreciate some suggestions/help here. Sorry for the bump

The best for you is almost everything now with A9LH. If you have OOTHax, you could downgrade your N3DS XL and have full power of the A9LH (better on N3DS than O3DS) if you can't, go for the 3DS 9.2.0E with many things already done for A9LH the best thing.

You can check this guide :
https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki

For me, I have a LAST question (I hope) about OTP :
https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/3DS-Stuck-(2.1.0-Without-Functional-Browser)
I'm really scared of this situation. But If i've kept the backup of my SysNAND at the end of the Part 2 (Downgrading) it's okay ?
Or I have to do a new / different backup ?
I know my bad luck and THIS will happen for sure.

You can hack the new 3ds and then do a system transfer from the o3ds to it. But a system transfer will format the old 3ds. If both systems are hacked its not hard to get the games on both. 4.5 is outdated at this point and tools are starting to drop support for it. A9lh or 9.2 are better options. You can still use flash carts on 9.2 and a9lh but they are not needed at all as you can have custom firmware.

Ya as long as you have a nand backup you will be able to get off of 2.1

Sorry to double post this, but I'm almost at the end, and i don't want to make a stupid move.
I'm removing my RedNAND from my SD Card and this part :
  1. Hold Y on boot to launch EmuNAND9
  2. Go to "SD Format Options", then "Format SD..."
  3. Select the "Format SD Without EmuNAND" option
So I launched EmuNAND9 but i have the "Format SD (no EmuNAND)" and not the "Format SD (Without EmuNAND)"
is it the same ?

Because when I confirm, i've a message with
"Already contains a RedNAND
Press A to format, B to cancel"

Thanks o/

That's the correct option, go ahead and format the card with it

How do I reboot and is it generally safe for me to remove the cover of the n3ds while doing the plailect guide thing cuz im too lazy to unscrew and screw the cover back everytime.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I have formatted my sysNAND to separate it from the emuNAND, but since i injected the FBI over the H&S app on sysNAND on the past, now the H&S app is not there, meaning that the CTRNAND is fragmented. Now this is my situation: I'm going to switch SD card in the future, and since i'm still using MenuHax, i need to configure the new SD to create the emuNAND partition. And since formatting the SD card to create the emuNAND partition means to do an exact copy of the sysNAND (meaning that the sysNAND is being readed in the process), i have this question:

If the CTRNAND is fragmented, there's a risk of sysNAND lecture error on the process of formatting the SD, or something akin to that?

I know how to defrag the CTRNAND, but i don't have enough free space on the SD to do it. (Seriously, i'm using a 2GB SD, which i can only use 600MB given MenuHax + EmuNAND partition)

I've been following the plailect guide, over the course of the guide it said to reboot/boot. How do I boot or reboot and is it generally safe for the back to remain open cuz im too lazy to screw and unscrew the cover everytime I want to get my sd card.

Booting and rebooting is basically turning the system on and off (However you must boot the system the way the guide tells you to) and yes you can leave the back cover off, hell you don't even need to screw it in, it sits in the back of the system without needing to be screwed in quite nicely.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. N3DS cracking is a lot more pain in the ass than PSP.

Hello, noob question here.

I'm bored to wait for browserhax 10.6 to show up. Let's assume that I have nothing on my SD card (I actually had browserhax but since I updated to 10.6 it's not working anymore), what games or stuff should I buy to hax my console ?

Here some options:
Ocarina of time + powersaves (recomended)

Ocarina of time + another 3ds with homebrew (if you have a friend or something)

Cubic ninja

Pokemon super mystery dungeon + another 3ds with homebrew
