Hold select whole turning it back on. Of that doesn't work just delete the config file in the luma folder. Also get off the dev build, download the normal version from the github.

Boot with the select button pressed doesn't open the Luma configuration, the respective payloads are in the right places, none of them works....(before check the Developer features all was working fine, I was already playing The Minish Cap) Thanks for the help, tonight I'll try to delete the files you mention...
Thanks for the help....

no nothing like that even installed agb twil cia that is describd here
have issues with GBA/DS/DSiWare games and I have installed a patched AGB/TWL FIRM cia in the past

There have been some reports of pre-patched AGB/TWL FIRMs interfering with Luma3DS' built-in patching. Follow these steps to restore the unpatched Nintendo FIRMs:

  1. Get the NAND FIRMs package from here
  2. From the package, copy O3DS AGB.cia and O3DS TWL.cia (if you have an Old 3DS), or N3DS AGB.cia and N3DS TWL.cia (if you have a New 3DS) to the SD card
  3. Open your favorite cia installer (the guide has been tested successfully with FBI 2.1). If you don't have one, it's outside the scope of this guide, look on GBATemp to check how to get your first cia installed
  4. Install the .cia files you copied in step 2
  5. Luma3DS should now be functioning normally

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

has someone a clue how it can be fixed?

OK, as I said before I am with menuhax and have trouble loading my DS flashcard with Luma3DS. The flashcard is Supercard DSTWO (not the plus version), latest firmware.

The flashcard plays without problem with Reinand. With Luma3DS it gives black screen and freezes.

What I did up to now:

- Before Luma3DS : Playing DS Flashcard with Reinand and Cakes
- Installed Luma3DS: Luma3DS gives black screen and freezes, Reinand/Cakes play just Fine
- Updated Flashcard Firmware: Luma3DS black Screen and freezes, Reinand plays just Fine
- Changed the path of Luma3DS.dat (with and without "/"): Luma3DS black Screen and freezes, Reinand plays just Fine
- Downloaded and installed unpatched AGB and TWL Firmwares: Luma3DS black screen and freezes, Reinand plays just Fine
- Installed patched TWL firmware: Luma 3DS black screen and freezes, Reinand plays just Fine
- Installed TWL Slot-1 Launcher: Luma3DS gives black screen and freezes when I load the launcher, Reinand loads the launcher just fine
- Installed Whitelist v11264, Luma 3DS black screen and freezes, Reinand plays just Fine

- Installed again the unpatched TWL firmware, verified by getting error message on TWL Slot1 launcher: Luma3DS gives black screen and freezes when I try to load the DS flashcard, Reinand still plays it just Fine.

Path has no place in your setup

I don't understand what you're saying. If you installed the unpatched FIRM cias on New 3DS and it fails, arm9loaderhax.bin on the root isn't Luma3DS.

How can i fix black screen on GBA games downloaded from eshop ambassador games in this case the game start up can play a little while and then turn off console or back to home menu cames up with no reason and i installed N3DS AGB.cia and N3DS TWL.cia as you suggested on my n3ds.
do you have any clue how to fix this.
If the game starts Luma did its job. If you get crashes and reboots it's the game you're using, or you have hardware issues

Aurora Wright, do you have any hint regarding my case?
Same "hints" as for the user above, please read the troubleshooting part of the wiki... Ah, and you can't change the path for the .dat. The .dat must be Luma3DS.dat on the root

Well, I have followed all applicable instructions in the wiki and from what people suggested here. I posted a list a few posts above.

No matter what I did, always Luma3DS gives a black screen and freezes the system, and always Reinand or Cakes will play the DS flashcard.

From what I see it freezes exactly at the point were the 3DS loads the DS firmware (the point were the screens go off and then starts at DS mode).

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
