Don't know your stance about this @Aurora Wright, but I'm starting to grow angry about all those people who can't read the wiki, especially for DSi, GBA & ssb4 (boot managers conflicting with the reboot patch).
What you did with internal loading of twl & agb firms is perfect, but maybe you should also reinstate the option to load those firms externally from /aurei, along your way (like with 10.2 native firm). We should see then less people with this problem, I would not get that angry, my cardiologist would be happier. Everybody wins ?

Hello, I was using the version 3.7.2.7 until today and had no problem with it, but I decided to try the last one. I followed every (very simple) step on the installation page in the wiki (and erased the rei folder and everything I transfered from it in the new aurei folder except the sub-folder "payloads") then I started the console and it will stay stucked on the purple colour of the boot manager splash every time I select the AuReiNand.DAT file to boot it (same problem with the 3dsx file).

Could someone enlighten me about my own stupidity, please?

Did you put the new dat file on?

If you're using a boot manager, you should post the snippet from the config file.
If you're coming from that old of a version, it was named ReiNAND.dat back then, make sure you update your boot manager accordingly.

@Aurora Wright I've seen in one of your latest commits Update FatFs to 0.12 Added support of exFAT file system.
exFAT works now ?
edit: I guess the arm9loaderhax needs an update for support that, right ?

Question: if I dont want to use NTR CFW, which is my best option? Have a 10.2 firm file or use the ctrnand firm?

Hi all, yesterday I installed AuReuNand and Arm9loader hacks using that excellent guide.

I set up the n3DS using a 16GB microSD card but fancy upgrading to a 32GB I had in my Gatewait. How do I go about this?

I tried transferring the files and this doesn't seem to have worked. What do I need to do? :)

Thanks in advance

Joe

Edit: I might have just worked it out. Using EmuNAND9 to set up emuNAND on the new SD card. Is this right?

10.3 uses NATIVE_FIRM 10.2, supported by NTR. 10.5, 10.6, 10.7 use NATIVE_FIRM 10.4, unsupported.
Thats why I'm asking it. I fear Aureinand doesnt support a future firm in the future, so I ask if its better to have the 10.2 firm or use the sysnand firm

If you don't use NTR, don't use native_firm 10.2. Using 10.2 will not magically prevent you from a black screen if you update to a newer firmware with a new NATIVE_FIRM. Whatever happens, you'll have to wait for AuReiNand to support it.

Edit : But I think @Aurora Wright put some things in AuReiNand to prevent those black screens.

Aureinand and ReiNand have a smartpatching feature, so, in theory, it will be compatible with future updates..

Yeah to your edit. Backup the old one, inject it to the new one with decrypt9.

"Smartpatching", that was the term I was looking for. Thanx man.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

How do I go about that? :).

Use decrypt9. Dump emunand on old sd, copy the dump in your new sd, inject the dump with decrypt9 on your new sd. Can't/won't simplify more.
