As long as you have a working sysnand.bin, you can launch Decrypt9 by holding Start on boot and restore it from there

also holding start on boot does not open decrypt9wip
If you follow plailect's guide, it does.

What if someone did have A9HL, but didn't have a nand back up, are they fucked then if they brick?

Yes, I do have a nand back up, I'm just curious.

I guess they'd be fucked, unless it were possible to use another device's nand backup(which I'm pretty sure isn't)

Better be safe than sorry...

Are you sure? AFAIK NAND.bin is a 1:1 copy of the NAND chip's content.

I think it doesn't, at least I know that Emunand9 won't let you restore a Gateway NAND backup. It adds some extra bytes to the read or something like that.

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
