Now i havent bricked my N3ds, but i just would like to know and be ready for anything nintendo or... Gateway Throws at me. so how do we unbrick uning A9HL? or is it not even ready yet?
Make a NAND backup with D9, restore in case of a brick. Now i havent bricked my N3ds, but i just would like to know and be ready for anything nintendo or... Gateway Throws at me. so how do we unbrick uning A9HL? or is it not even ready yet?
As long as you have a working sysnand.bin, you can launch Decrypt9 by holding Start on boot and restore it from thereNow i havent bricked my N3ds, but i just would like to know and be ready for anything nintendo or... does it have to be a D9 backup? i do have 1 sysnand.bin backup from way back when i first got te N3ds and a Emunand.bin backup (made every week)Make a NAND backup with D9, restore in case of a brick.
It's probably fine if the backup hasn't been made with D9, however, it doesn't hurt to make one!does it have to be a D9 backup? i do have 1 sysnand.bin backup from way back when i first got te N3ds and a Emunand.bin backup (made every week)
Right you are. It's probably fine if the backup isn't made with D9, however, it doesn't hurt to make one!
ok ill make another backup ASAPdecrypt9 wont read gateway backups
Better be safe than sorry...Also I was wondering. Can a9hl help you against a gateway brick?
Are you sure? AFAIK NAND.bin is a 1:1 copy of the NAND chip's content.decrypt9 wont read gateway backups
If you follow plailect's guide, it does.also holding start on boot does not open decrypt9wip
I guess they'd be fucked, unless it were possible to use another device's nand backup(which I'm pretty sure isn't)What if someone did have A9HL, but didn't have a nand back up, are they fucked then if they brick?
Yes, I do have a nand back up, I'm just curious.
No, it is not possible to use another device's NAND backup. The entire NAND is encrypted using hardware specific encryption keys.I guess they'd be fucked, unless it were possible to use another device's nand backup(which I'm pretty sure isn't)
Get decrypt9wip.bin, rename it to arm9loaderhax.bin and put it in your rootFor example if i have a bricked 3ds with aureinand so it boot arm9loaderhax.bin
can i change the bin file to ctrbootmanager9 and boot d9 from the bricked console?
Better be safe than sorry...

fixed by updating to latest verIf you follow plailect's guide, it does.
decrypt9 wont read gateway backups
if thats the case how come decrypt9 wont read any of my gateway backup? That's not true, they'll work just fine.
