When I delete all those I cant even boot into sysnand. I think im doing something wrong trying to get this new version to work.
I just set up my 2DS with the latest version and on sysNAND. I had to turn on all the flags in the config menu, but once they were all turned on, everything worked fine for me.

well..I have answer for your question but it's difficult to explain in English. sorry.

most of the reason is for legit cia (system titles) not for gamas so I would like to have both mode for the safe reason.

Then find out their title ID and ver and download them yourself from 3DNUS directly from Ninty servers.

Well, everything is working when I have all the files there, but I still cannot figure out how to get the menu to launch. Holding select while the console boots does nothing.

Try updating your files again.

Well, if you have suggestions about button combos I can hear them. Start and Select are worse XD
Maybe L+DPad for xxxNAND options and R+whatever for payloads? That way you don't have both hands busy when trying to push the power button.

Well, I said screw it, deleted the entire folder, and just recopied and renamed everything, everything worked first try :D

Boot time seems pretty solid with this version too, 8-9 seconds with my 64gig samsung EVO microSD card.

L+R+? is the easiest and best option. I don't really know whats difficult about it tbh
Why have it as both buttons though? Using R is good enough. (R isn't used for anything important anyways).
Or like how @stl25 stated, make the corresponding file name boot with just that one button, not L+R+button.
So a.bin would boot with just a.

It's no so much that it is difficult and more overkill. 3 buttons to load a payload that can be loading with one button seems like it could use improvement. I am a big advocate of full on arm9select inclusion in AuReiNand. Obviously with some input from other users there is a general consensus that the function of the loader bin can be simplified and improved.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Try pressing L+R+X when pressing Power.

I would rather press x and power.

There's nothing wrong with having it as R, your right it would be easier that way. But for me I use R for ctrbootmanger

My AuReiNand setup.
I am a emuNAND user so power on with no buttons loads AuReiNand emunand
L launches sysNAND in 9.0 mode
R not used
I do not use the loader.bin in AuReiNand (I delete it) this line and below is arm9select
I press start load decrypt9wip
I press a load uncart
no muli buttons combos for A9LH payloads
How can it be easier than that?

I do use L+down to load GW.3dsx through menuhax.

If someone has an even easier setup, I would love to hear it as I am trying to make it user friendly to use and understand for myself and others

Edit: I have been doing alot of thinking that all the CFW devs could try to agree on a standard folder that all CFW will look for a.bin,x.bin,y.bin,select.bin,start.bin,up.bin, etc...) so when a AuReiNand user installs cakes CFW it seems silly to have the cakes.bin in the aurei/payloads folder. Maybe just throw all A9LH payloads into a folder named payloads on the root of mSD/SD where all CFW could use as a default payload folder. Just my novel take that amounts to 2 cents of input. Respond if you agree or disagree as this is how we come up with great ideas to make these already great programs better.

Very true, you'd have to use your index finger+thumb+middle finger just to reach out to the power button

All those buttons is a great option if you have young kids who don't know what they are doing, but for most users why not make it easier.

How many buttons do you press on your TV remote to change the channel? These A9LH program are like TV channels that can be programmed accordingly (hot key not keys) for ease of use.

Basicly it would be best to have button combos for payloads using one hand.
Example: L-Trigger + UP/LEFT/RIGHT/DOWN // R-Trigger + A/B/X/Y

But we already have a lot functions and it would collide.

If L+R stops > waits for input (if you like including a nice top/bottom screen), it would be easy to press another button (we want to start another payload anyway).

I think the combinations should be carefully re-thought from scratch, they should be universal whatever the mode is and only change the default between Updated sysNAND and emuNAND. Two keys max, the two in the same side of the console when possible so there's always a free hand to press the Power button.

This is not trivial.

I think I found the most annoying solution from the point of view of the developper but the best one from the point of view of the user :P

Basically, the payloads in /aurei/payloads/ should be called 0.bin, 1.bin, 2.bin, etc, up to whatever you want.
Then, when booting, AuReiNand reads a keyconfig.bin file that describes several pad states and if one of them is the current pad state, then a payload is loaded accordingly. Otherwise, AuReiNand is booted.
For example, if the keyconfig.bin file says "L+R+B, A, SELECT, L+R+X" and if L+R+X is pressed while AuReiNand is booted, then 4.bin is booted.

Now, how do we configure keys for the payloads ?
Well, that's a feature to add to the menu. Or even more annoying for the developper (:P) while booting, AuReiNand counts the number of payloads in /aurei/payloads/ and the number of pad states described in keyconfig.bin and if there are more payloads than pad states, it lets the user register pad states for the remaining payloads.

Yeah, I warned at the beginning, most annoying solution for the dev... Not sure if this should be done by AuReiNand or be a boot manager of its own.
