no, normal homebrew. is there any ARM9 homebrew with internet/wireless access?

About that updater. Where would it put the arm9loaderhax.bin file for AuReiNand ? Would it be able to detect if the user uses a boot manager like CtrBootManager9 or would it erase that file and leave us with AuReiNand only ?

Now of course, I still can compile AuReiNand to change the key to run default.bin, but that's annoying.

It's really not that difficult to press L+R to load the default.bin payload. Do you guys launch lots of payloads? Wtf do you want to use? The only thing you can use is Decrypt9.

Did you replace the arm9loaderhax.bin as well? Re-download 3.12 and the ONLY files you need to keep are firmware.bin and firmware90.bin(and the 2 splash images if you use the feature). So paste them in the NEW 3.12 version, and then paste the new version in the SDcard(delete the OLD version first)

I don't think so, I did ask this over on #cakey. I was told it was possible, but probably wouldn't be that simple to achieve. (I just think it would be a good idea. A new 3DS update is released with a new NATIVE_FIRM. That arm9 updater could download and install the latest version of AuReiNAND and the NATIVE_FIRM at boot, maybe with some button configuration. Would be quite nice.)

I wonder if there is a way to auto-detect... Probably difficult without checking signature of every file (it can be anything). Maybe AuReiNand itself can write the path of AuReiNand arm9loader.bin to a text file on boot (should be possible to determine where the process is located). Just to make it smarter?

Pressing L+R+Power requires two hands or even more annoying tricks like pressing Power and R with one hand and pressing L against a table but even in that case you have to use your right hand and not your left hand to do this. While using SELECT only needs one hand and it can be the left one or right one.

I think Auroura made it L+R to avoid issues with other boot managers. Imagine if you only had R or L or some combo like X+Y, it would be annoying to those who use BootCtr9, arm9select, CtrBootManager9 as they need to get their timings right or it boots into wrong app/mode.

That and R/L only boots sysnand with different firm 9.0/10.x

I didn't complain about the choices made by Aurora, I just said I liked the SELECT key better and that's why I boot AuReiNand through CtrBootManager and not the other way round.

Yeah, it is just user preference. Hell with the config menu that was recently added, maybe we will see custom mapping for all the different boot options? Hah.

AFAIK, we can't use Home button since it's "special". Also, an upcoming feature of A9LH is to load a special payload when HOME button is pressed, so it would create a conflict with it. I prefer START.

L+R is the easiest to press with the other buttons. START or SELECT are really hard to press with B, X, Y, and R (on N3DS).

@GBHAKC75, upcoming as in Gateway SOON? When that feature arrives the button could be remapped. Not sure about it being a special button that is why I asked.

@frosty5689, arm9select is like the best kept secret for some reason. By far the easiest for loading A9LH payloads. Granted I only use 2 buttons select.bin (Uncart) and start.bin (Decrypt9WIP). I think @Aurora Wright loader is a great choice for people setting up 3DS for small children so the don't inadvertently trigger Decrypt9WIP which could be cause issues. Other than that I don't see why arm9select isn't used more as it frees the user from pressing L+R+Select to load Uncart where armselect does this with only select being held. Minor annoyance it does not detract from AuReiNand in the least. Far and away the best CFW currently for A9LH.

I only saw your edit now...
Well first, I once broke my left arm and now I always think about "what if I only have one hand to do stuff ?".
And second, dumps and backups are exactly the operations you do while doing something else, so I can have a hand busy with something (like always holding my SG so that the head doesn't fall) while using the other one to operate the 3DS.

Quick noob question. Have to update the a9lh via 9.2 correct? Cannot be done on sysnand 10.7? If not on 10.7 I'll have to recreate my 9.2 emunand which isn't a big deal
