Does a CFW (in my case, ReiNAND) boot better from the DS profile exploit with downgraded MSET, or will it be the same boot rate? And can you even do an MSET downgrade on N3DS?

MSET has near perfect boot rate, but it's kinda slow from coldboot so it's not worth it really.

I have no idea if it boots better with that particular exploit, but yes, you can downgrade MSET for use on the N3DS (in fact, ONLY on the N3DS).
And as DrCrygor07 said,
It boots better with A9LH
Which is very, very true. I'd recommend looking into A9LH.

Sorry if I ask this question here but I downgraded the mset in one of my 3ds, can I do the downgrade process without worrying?

You see, MenuHax has to boot sysNAND first, before emuNAND because it's an exploit in sysNAND that you're using. A9LH, however, allows you to skip sysNAND entirely, booting straight to emuNAND. That's something MenuHax will never be able to achieve. Ever. Also, A9LH has 100% boot rate, staggering boot speeds (as fast as sysNAND boots normally), it's easy to manage, and you can (when set up properly) boot Decrypt9 and EmuNAND9 by holding X or Y (one mapped to each button) when the system starts up, ensuring nice brick protection. It's an amazing exploit. I installed it when the very first OTP guide came out back when it was much more dangerous - which brings up another point. It really is pretty safe to downgrade and grab your OTP. Sure, things happen, and you could end up with a brick, but if you follow the steps exactly, you'll be okay.

EDIT: You'll most likely be okay.

Yeah, let people stay paranoid! :P
That's not the problem. I agree that there is no danger and stuff, but if they have really weird thresholds and are like "brick everywhere" until you convince them that nope, and then they become so chilled that they are not focused, then they will make errors and blame you for the brick that they feared in the beginning... So of course no one cares if people brick due to their errors while doing something theoretically safe, but you don't want to be blamed for that.

I never turn my 3ds off anyways, so I don't really care to do all the work of getting the OTP just to save a few seconds on boot.

Actually, when I was using the Gateway as my main solution to run my retail cartridges on a high firmware while keeping my 3DS on a low firmware (most annoying situation in the world), I also kept my 3DS on all the time because booting with MSET is so annoying. But since I got menuhax, I started turning it off more often, and now that I have a9lh, I turn it off everytime I'm not using it, even just for 3 minutes, just to enjoy the splash next time I turn it on and without wasting time.
So yeah, I don't say you're mixing causes and consequences... but maybe ;)
