I would have thought to use v1.0 SSU on OP before anything else.

Too many forks going on and you may get forked in the process. ;)

Alright, thank you, will do that now.

Edit: It doesn't appear to have changed anything. I've tried a few times but it's still freezing on hax init.
try this SSU build if that doesnt work try the SU build, and if those dont work update to 10.6 and try again

Same thing has been happening with safeSystemUpdater, but sysUpdater crashed before it even got to its menu.
I think I'll just update to 10.6 and start again.

something must be wrong with your firm, the update should fix that
EDIT: I'll run a test from 10.6

Last edited by Zyrmkel,
Worked by on 2x EUR 2DS from 10.6.
Both with safesysupdater boot on first try, downgrade success on first try.
Used CN as Entrypoint for both.
Merci cpasjuste

It's finally on 9.2.
After updating and reinstalling things, I tried safeSys, that froze, then I tried the normal one, and it worked first try.
Anyway, thanks for the help.

no problem glad I could help, I wonder if there's something preventing the safesys code from executing on your n3ds, thats pretty strange @gameking66?

@MattKimura so for your guide I'd recommend having both versions I linked a few posts above incase someone has the same issue @dodgerflij had. But I'd have it say something like:
run SSU 2-3 times from menuhax or CN/OOT
if that fails all times try the ftpd(L,R,Down,B) trick then launch again to see if it succeeds
else run SU 2-3 times from menuhax or CN/OOT
if that fails all times try the ftpd(L,R,Down,B) trick then launch again to see if it succeeds
if all else fail update to 10.6 while its the lastest version after buying CN/OOT and setting that up for 10.6 and try again

Perfect Downgrade 9.6 to 9.2 using GameKings Sysupdater in a new 3ds. Work in the first try but gave me error in the last cia and showed the tipical error screen. Turn on again without sd and tried again via browser hack cleaning cookies. Installed one more cia and finished good. Not necesary force turn off. Reboot ok.

tip: format sd, console, clean update history, batery 100%.

thanks

What do you mean? does it fail when installing that cia?
Yes!
I've got the n3DS version from the other iso site, I have triple checked I have the correct CIA package (9.2.0-20J n3DS) for my Japanese 3DS on 9.9.0-26J, but SafeSysUpdater always fails on that same CIA file.
I have checked the MD5 from the zip package and the one inside mu updates folder and they match.

Do you have the MD5 for this CIA file?

are you unable to boot the 3ds after removing the sd?

The 3DS boots fine as I have not downgraded it yet!
It's just that SafeSysUpdater keeps failing at that file and SysUpdater keeps throwing me the titleException error :/

Any clues?
