Hi, I have a new3ds on firm 9.9 with this new safesysupdater I can update to 10.5 and then downgrade to 9.2?

because there is high risk of Frakenfirmware from 9.9, and I only can use browserhax, I don't have cn, oot.

Eh, it's more like the same risk regardless from where you downgrade but if you want, when I get off work I can run a few tests from 9.9

Ok I wait, in Spanish forum I see many interrupted downgrades in firm 9.9(last page has one), and many on the first try on consoles firm 10.3-10.6

ok after fighting with my computer to read my hardmod, I have done two successful downgrades from 9.9 to 9.2. I'd recommend gameking66's build here, and recommend deleting update nag(refer to OP for that) and also if you don't care about the data on your 3ds do a sysformat to help boost success rates. I'm going to be doing a few more tests however I feel like they will succeed

Np, Test 3 had no complications either, but yeah: clear nag, run sysformat, setup menuhax and boot that build from menuhax. but if you want to update to a higher firm use the attached file

EDIT: Test 4 + 5 went fine also, so I'm done with tests unless you want more?

I had been putting off downgrading for a while, in fact I missed several good opportunities (like when 10.3 was still current) due to sheer procrastination. Someone linked me to the newest version of safesysupdater from a few days ago and said that it was supposed to be even more stable and I should jump on it while I have the chance. So I finally decided to do it.

I was on 9.9U, o3DS, Ironhax as my entry point. I deleted the update nag right before attempting it.

It launched on the first try, didn't blackscreen or make me restart.
It verified every cia perfectly.
It successfully downgraded everything, no partial installation or frankenfirmware for me.

So yeah, this thing really works now.

I'm just looking for the latest "standard" sysupdater that everyone generally uses. I'm constructing my own guide, so I'm wondering what sysupdaters I should be using. Plailect's guide still uses regular sysupdater and sysupdater 10-4 so I'm confused.

People are claiming that the newer SafeSysUpdater works on all firmware, but is it now the new best version? Or are tests still happening before it can become standardized as the "best" version to use?

hello i have a n3ds 9.6u. I was reading all the Day since i bought it one week ago. Do you recommend use safesysupdate (gameking) over versión Juliana and others?. Other thing. I am going to clear memory and system before downgrade. Other more tipa? Sorry for my bad english i am from argentina!. Ah! What do you mean to clean update nah? Thanks

I'm stuck on

HAX INIT...

when trying to downgrade from 10.6 on an EUR new 3ds xl.

If I choose the (A) option to check update files that works flawlessly (all the files are GOOD).

But if I choose the (Y) to downgrade I get stuck on that message every time.

I'm using the SafeSysUpdater.3dsx-1.0.zip from the 1st post.

Any suggestions?

I don't have an answer, but there is one thing that concerns me.

Smashbros is a 9.9.0E game ( for rev 5 according to the database on http://3dsdb.com/ ).

I am not sure that is compatible with a 9.2 downgrade.

As far as I know OOT and CN are the go to games for downgrade from 10.6.

Also back up what you have because 10.6 may be updated to 10.7 and your firmware may get screwed when you want to reinstall.

Tried also with the original sysUpdater which give me failed to get cia file info.
I have New 3DS XL E on version 10.3
How can I solve this problem?

Well, after I tried again couple of times, the downgrade process started.
And at the moment it began I almost killed myself because the stress
After it finished to downgrade I had to reboot it myself, the 3DS booted up and went to System Settings to check and so 9.2
So what I did before the downgrade:
Formatted my SD card
Formatted my system
Checked the file before with the SafeSysUpdater

What I Have:
New 3DS XL from Europe that was on version 10.3, used SafeSysUpdater 1.0

Try running from menuhax, I don't have sm4sh so I can't test that entry point and browserhax refuses to run the hack for me and yes I'd recommend gameking's build over any others at this point

EDIT: Gameking's build should be the best one since the official safesysupdater changed the browser and home menu cias to install last right before nfirm so you can reuse your entry if it fails in the middle and gameking ported the gpu race attack to 10.3< X in his build since it seems more sable than the cpu race attack pre 10.4 downgrades
EDIT: I can run more tests using both the 10.4 sysupdater and gameking's safesysupdater build from 9.9 10.3 and 10.5 if you want me too?

Downgraded from 9.9 on n3DS. Could not get the other sysupdaters to work on a n3DS. They did work on an o3DS.

I frankenfirmed it the first try using rev 1.0. I was a little scared of all the threads saying not to use safesysupdater, and definitely don't use it to fix a complete install.
But as many attempts with the other sysupdaters failed at CIA read, I read up more, found Rev 2.0 and completed the downgrade.

I ran downgrade checker after and I noticed that it did not install 0004009b00010402 or 0004001b00010802.
Now that I was on 9.2, I ran Pasta, then the regular sysupdater recommended on Plailect to install those.

I would say on a n3DS, safesysupdater is the way to go. No experience with it on an o3DS to say one way or another.
