don't worry about that, just boot back up, launch a CFW (rxTools 2.5.2 devmode was the only one I could get working) then restart sysupdater and finish the downgrade

I have tried it 5 times!!! Also it gives an error at about the same time
the guide says "If you still are having issues, some users have reported upgrading emuNAND to 10.5 then downgrading may work. This is because this update will remove any modified TWL_FIRM which sysUpdater has trouble dealing with." will it help?

Yes. I think I know the error you're getting if it happens around the same time. Updating should work.

reread my sentence, don't restore a NAND backup, just start normally no restoring, and finish the downgrade... you may ALSO need to delete the home menu extdata

He may be talking about the very consistant, never failing to occur 0004003000008F02.cia (home menu) install error. If you happen to remember my problems with downgrading, I'd always get an error message without fail when I got to installing that cia. After finding a person with the same problem, I was able to trace it back to a problem with our firmware (mine was 9.2). After updating, we were able to downgrade all the way (I was on 10.3 and they were on 10.5). It seems like it affects a really small number of people and that this is the best way of solving it. I don't know if this is his problem, but he is showing the signs of having it and the fact that he mentioned that it's consistant around the same spot reinforces that nagging feeling it may be it.

yup, just got around that exact error myself (testing out some stuff for someone) just delete the home menu extdata, emuNAND boots right back up, then use the rxTools I mentioned to get into devmode and restart the installation no need to update to 10.6 or whatever
