Hello everyone, today I'm sharing with you a fork of CEX2REX that I made that allows you to install DevKit firmware on a PS Vita CEX/DEX.
Features:
1. You can enable DevMode.
2. You can change the CID spoof as you like (DEX/TOOL/TEST).
3. You can activate for 80 years or without an expiration date, and you can even deactivate it (Expired). (However, it only works with the DEX spoof.)
4. You have APP_HOME, which works with ux0, sd0, and host0 (usbhostfs).
The problems:
In DevMode, the debug settings System Update, Network, PSN, System, and Libgxm will crash the console (Registry issue). Otherwise, in Release Mode, everything works.
What doesn't work:
1. Neighborhood because there is no Communication Processor (CP).
2. Activation in TOOL spoof and TEST.
3. When you have the spoof tool in the bottom left corner, you'll see a message saying "The backup battery has failed."
4. And in the spoof TEST, the PS Vita is activated unlimitedly.
Before installation (IMPORTANT!):
1. Go to Safe mode and do Rebuild database.
2. Download firmware 3.74 (CEX), and for those with a testkit, select the firmware you want. Download the firmware, then place it on your memory card (not the SD2VITA!) in ux0(or uma0):data/PSP2/UPDATE/PSP2UPDAT.PUP.
This way, you can unbrick your PS Vita in safe mode (Safe Mode > Update System Firmware > Update Using Storage Media).
How to install:
Download Miaki from Github, then download the Devkit firmware (it must be the same version as your PS Vita, and you need enso/enso_ex).
Then rename the Devkit firmware to DEX.PUP and place it in the root of ux0.
After launching Miaki and installing, the installation can take 20 to 45 minutes. After installation, the PS Vita will reboot.
How to fix some issues:
1. Debug settings in DevMode - you can use VshPatch or APP_HOME and replace Mini Settings for QA with the eboot.bin from the testkit version. You will no longer have crashes, but some DevMode settings will be missing (LIBGXM).
2. Neighborhood - No.
3. Activation in spoof TOOL - you can use Red-msg-delete to remove the red message.
