OK. Heads up, I have an o3ds so I won't be testing the header stuff, as I don't need to/won't be able to test it, just the OTP dump.
Also, what's with the .nds file? Is this to load from ntrcardhax?

Ok. I just used OTPHelper on my brand new nand modded n3DS XL (it's a 9.0 launch console. I got bought it from someone online). It went off without a hitch. Downgraded emunand to 2.1, used your OTPHelper's "unbrick" feature. Then dumped emunand and used D9 to flash it to sysnand. No brick for me! Everything worked.

(oh and I also used OTPHelper launched from 2.1 spiderhax after dumping OTP to restore 9.0 sysnand backup. That too was successful)

I don't think so. There wasn't a menu for dumping OTP, so I didn't know there was a OTP dump feature. I switched to a different arm11 payload for dumping OTP.

There has to be, but you need to use the newest release. The one before doesn't have it.

I used the latest release build as of this morning. I didn't compile any source this time around.

Downgraded 2ds 10.6emunand to 2.1emunand. Flashed 2.1emunand to sysnand with OPTHelper-20160303-131925 from 9.2sysnand. Dumped otp from arm11.bin and arm9.bin from otp guide 2.3 3 times then from otphelper arm9.bin x100 x108 3 times. Flashed back to 9.2sysnand from otphelper. Used 1st x108 opt.bin to build arm9loaderhax deebile3/3/16 installed 1st try no problems same with x100 opt.bin. Only hiccup along the way was sandisk ultra plus 32gb uhs1 10,2 1sysnand would freeze before loading either arm11.bin. I used lexar sdhc 4 that came with 2ds and no more problems. I just wanted to help with the testing hope this does. Thank you soo much DK03 for all you have done for the scene. YOU THA MAN!

Anyway I had issues runing arm11.bin on my 64GB SD card when I did this process. The browser was just freezing, as if it could not find the file in the SD.
I just copied it again to the card (overwrote the old one) and it worked right away.

Release updated, and as you see the prerelease tag is gone. ARM11.bin is now also included in the package. Thanks @Damian666, @Apache Thunder, @Skaterdie, @dark_samus3, @piratesephiroth and all other testers! More feedback is still welcome, and be careful at least until @Plailect updates his guide.

Now if only CFWs would support booting a 2.1 emunand on N3DS, i could go into all this completely worry-free...

Just going to do exactly the same thing as you (I'm doing backup of emunand autofixed)

As you see, the prerelease tag is gone. Some testing already has taken place, so everything should be working as expected. arm11.bin is now also included in the package.

I still advice you to be careful with modifications such as those and wait until Plailex updates his guide!
