Homebrew 3DS Camera limits in size?

Does anyone know the limits for saving an image to the camera through the webbrowser on a 3DS? And what the limits are for an image transferred to the DCIM folder? I know the format must be jpg, but what are the limits in size, both in MB and pixels?

I'd imagine that there wouldn't be any limitations since the photo viewer should just downscale the image in order to fit it on the screen, and filesize shouldn't be an issue at all.

There is. Some JPG images get a "This image cannot be saved" when you try to press save image when downloading a picture. I also tried to move several files which are all around 1200px high and 800px width to the DCIM folder and they didn't show up.

Reasons. Also, because somehow, we know how the 3ds video format is build up (the one the camera uses, not the .moflex files) but not the image limitations.
