Quick questions:

1: Can I use my Gateway 3ds card in RXTools?
2: is there a benefit to using RXTools alongside Gateway?
3: Would updating from 4.2 to 9.2 using super smash bros work exactly the same as updating using sysupdater? I read somewhere that said this was highly not recommended for some reasons I can't remember.

1. No, Gateway is for Gateway only.
2. They both use the same Emunand so I guess it doesn't matter.
3. No, you're updating from a set package of files from a cart rather than Sysupdater where you can update whatever you want.

Hello, i own a 3DS XL on 9.9.0-26u and im not too sure what i can currently do with it. I previously owned a sky3ds bue button which was really simple too use but now that i sold it and wanted to wait for canadian dollars to climb before dishing out for a orange button.

so my question is what are some things my 3ds can do before then? ive heard rumors of someway to play games without a flashcart.

sorry im not too knowledgeable on this subject i see so many things going on the forums(reiNAND...etc) and i get confused.

You could have kept the Sky3DS as a way to access homebrew.

But you can get homebrew and downgrade from there, then get CFW.

You should adjust your network settings ASAP to use the Tubehax DNS, so that updates are blocked (the web browsers bundled with 9.9 and above are self destructing, if outdated) and get homebrew working.

If/when you're able to do that, you can backup all your existing saves for digital games, do a factory reset (which reduces chances of failure) and downgrade to 9.2, the last fully hacked OS, on which you can set up an emunand and install unsigned CIAs!

Got to ask since there is no real instructions anywhere when I use the search button.

How do I update Ninjhax payloads etc. I tried to download the precompiled package but it seem to be 2.5 on it.
And I get no real indicator on Smea's website how to update it.

EDIT: I use Menuhax btw on a 9.2 O3DS

The "payload" srictly speaking for Ninjhax is the QR, you should delete your save and scan it again.

I can confirm the current starter pack download for Ninjhax2 has an HBL that uses the quit feature from 2.6!

im sorry but cia are apps or something? lol so the steps i should work on is

1- tubehax dns
2- get homebrew
3- factory reset?
4- downgrade 9.2
5- install hacked os
6- setup emunand

sorry if i sound like a total noob but is there a tutorial i can follow that you would recommend(i will be checking the tutorial section now)
also is step 5 the hacked os supposed to be ReiNand or something? would i be able to play games after all this without a need for a flashcart?

Gateway Red card only works with Gateway Mode only.

tubhax its self is dead he is referring to "tubhax dns" a proxy dns you can set so you can use the internet but not communicate with nintendo servers (so no downloading of updates designed to stop hacks)
so first you need hbc access
and an o3ds huh . . . this guide here works fine for o3ds downgrading (its the one i used)
and this guide for cfw

please explain? i cant understand, are you going to transfer a file from different 3ds? going to update? or you want to setup emunand then go to 10.6?

noob question here. how do i update my rxTools 2.6 into rxTools 3.0? o3ds sys9.2 emu10.5

sorry, I have two different 3ds and one of them is updated and I wanted to leave the 10.3 one on that firmware to downgrade later after I transfer everything to the other updated one.

I cannot say for sure because I don't own a n3ds, but I think the reinand mod has support for the new a9lh exploit and the patched TWL for DSI and DS' flashcards... not sure about the official one

In the end I installed vanilla ReiNand, just because I don't need sysNand at the moment and I wanted the arm9 thread to patch the version to know for sure I'm on CFW when I've implemented autoboot.

Is there a way to install CIAs on gateways emunand? Or am I stuck abandoning my Gateway card for RXtools if I want to use cia?

Also is the 3ds GBA emulator better than the DStwos? (not dstwo+ just the DStwo for DS)
