so i have a couple of minutes now.
so first step ist to ensure i am on emunand. (how?)
Then i need to update emunand to 10.5 (just regulary start systemupdate after ds booted up)
then i trigger browserhax, start htbl, boot into sysnand via cakes, start webbrowserexpolit to start hbl in sysnand and then install menuhax to sysnand.

After that i install fbi.cia, then i install and run freemultipatcher.

What about rxtools? that afterwards? What about reinand? do i need it ?

Would be any help what so ever if i posted the stuff i´ve downloaded, so u guys could check if the versions or anything else ist good or bad?

Boot up without your SD card inserted so you know you are on sysnand. Then put your SD card in and change your theme to something distinctive. Then put your SD card back in and boot CFW. If your theme doesn't look like the one in sysnand then you know you are in emunand.

Yes, once you have confirmed you are in emunand just go into system settings and update.

Careful, you're confusing sysnand and emunand here. Also, menuhax installs into whichever NAND you are currently running. Since you want menuhax in sysnand, not emunand, you trigger hax from sysnand to start HBL, then install menuhax straight away.

After that i install fbi.cia, then i install and run freemultipatcher.

After installing menuhax, you need to launch CFW (Cakes in this case), then re-launch hax to get back to HBL, run FBI from the 3dsx and install FBI.cia to emunand.

No, these are alternative CFWs. Since you're using Cakes you don't need to use them.

From what i see so far i really mixed up nands, because wheni try what u said (take out sd card start ds) i am in the exact same menu i thought would be emunand.i put back in sd card, changed theme and restartet the ds, it had still the same colour with sd card inside ? so i boot into

Personally I use different themes to make clear what nand I'm in, sysnand is the stock red theme while emunand is a custom Zelda them installed with chmm2

I think you've just got to the heart of the problem: you didn't know which NAND you were in. Attempting to install CIAs while in sysnand without sig checks patched will not work.

I strongly suggest you find a way of ensuring you know exactly which NAND you are using. To be completely safe you should simply never, ever use sysnand once emunand is set up. If you do something like a system update while in sysnand, you will end up with a system which is unable to run CFW without a hardmod to downgrade it.

My suggestion is that you do the following:

1. Back up whatever you need from your SD card
2. Format the SD card and make sure you repartition it to get rid of the old emunand
3. On your 3DS, change the theme to RED
4. Follow the tutorial I linked to precisely and you will end up with an emunand also with a RED theme (because it's a duplicate of sysnand)
5. Once in emunand, change the theme to BLUE
6. Power off your 3DS and get back to sysnand. It should be RED
7. Load CFW and you should see your BLUE theme.

This way you can tell from the colour of the theme which NAND you are in.

After installing the fbi.cia into sysnand (worked without a hassle) i had to restart the ds and ended up in sysnand (red theme which i applied and before repartition of the fresh and new SD according to mashers (ur THE man) ) but without fbi showing up. Entering hbl and starting pasta to change nand throws me into Homemenu again, showing fbi installer. So now my question is: i am still on Sysnand, as emunand was not created yet. Is this correct?

Yes, this is to be expected. Pasta patches the sig checks in sysnand, allowing you to install and run unsigned CIAs from sysnand. If you boot sysnand without running pasta, your installed FBI CIA will be invalid according to the OS, so it won't allow you to use it. Once you run pasta and get kicked back to sysnand you are running with sig checks patched, which will allow FBI to run.

Just a technical note to ensure you fully understand what is happening when you run Pasta. Running Pasta does not change which NAND you are running on. It reboots you back to sysnand but with sig checks patched. This is not the same as running emunand. If you run pasta and then update the system software, you are still updating sysnand.

I hope this isn't patronising. It's just a very important distinction to understand, as updating the system software is dangerous if you don't fully understand which NAND you are in and how to move between them.

So the next step is to make the emunand... Since you have FBI installed in sysnand, when you clone sysnand to emunand you will then have FBI in emunand too, which is needed for some of the following steps.

By the way, the choice of CFW is up to you but the tutorial I linked to suggests ReiNand. I also recommend this for two reasons: it is lightweight compared to rxTools AFAIK, but more importantly it changes the version string in system settings. So if you are in emunand and go to system settings, it will put "Rei" in front of the system version. That way if you don't see the "Rei" string, you know you are in sysnand.

Edit - just for completeness, rxTools does also change the version string in emunand, but Cakes does not.

No worries! AFAIK the main advantage of rxTools over Cakes/ReiNand is built in region free patching. However, you can use FreeMultiPatcher in Cakes/ReiNand for this, or switch to rxTools using the same emunand once the dangerous parts of setting up are over!

Your cia are failing because you didn't update your databases. You need to find two files, title.db and some thing I forgot. And you need to put those 2 files in the Nintendo 3ds folders. After that boot up your 3ds and go into data management, it should give an error and saying something about rebuilding
