I know it's not much, and thank you for the files now I´ll try the other characters
Does it look like the dark outline around the character matches the others pretty well? I tried to match it as best I could, but I could always improve it.
 
I'm having an issue with the character names.
I edited bowsers name and "technically" it show up in the game anymore, and when i got to the fighter screen it still says bowsetr.

What'd i do wrong?

If it displays correctly in one place and wrong in another then it could mean that there are multiple files that contain his name. Perhaps have a look around and see if you can find a second file that has his name.

you mean the character select? the name underneath the character portraits is actually a image.

I edited it in the tex editor app, posted in this thread, but the fact is, i literally cant find another texture with his name anywhere.
I found 2 files
1 bigger text "bowser"
And 1 smaller text "bowser"

The smaller one, i know for a fact, went under the portrait on the character select screen
 
I just looked at your mod video. What exactly did you do? It seems like the model wasn't compatible with the moveset/rig body.

I was using Mega Man Volnutt's model. Since he isnt a fully functioning character, most of the required files needed to load him up dont exist. I used Mega Man's files as a base, and swapped out the model and textures themselves. In other words, it was Mega Man's files swapped over Bayonetta, but using Volnutt's model file
 
Have you tried changing the texture format of the image like from la4 to rgaeb8888? The first format option worked for me when changing Marth's name to Issac

Wait.
So the game loaded the image as RGBA8888?
That must have been like 16x the original filesize, right? And it still booted? I thought saltysd would crash if the filesizes were larger than the original?

Here's proof. The format wasn't rgba8888, I think the program said it differently though. It's the first format texture option.
