A few days ago, I installed the new update for my 3ds. However, when I installed this update, my ds began to startup with a black screen. This black screen would completely prevent me from not only starting menuhax, but from accessing anything on my 3ds D:

As a temporary patch, I simply take out and put back in my SD Card, but I doubt this is healthy for my ds :L

Is there a way to prevent this from happening? And was this caused by having Menuhax?

Do you use rxTools?

throw it out the window!

no but seriously, hold L when turning on your 3DS should get you into your system easily. then, you'll want to change the theme to anything else (to remove the previous menuhax), and then re-install menuhax using the latest files

Take the SD card out, boot up, put it back in and change the theme to reset menuhax. Then reinstall menuhax so it updates the payload for your current firmware

Brilliant idea! I'll certainly try this

The idea works to get into browserhax, but I still can't turn on my ds without being confronted with the black screen :/

You have to turn on your 3ds without the SD card.
Then, insert your SD, change the theme (to uninstall the old menuhax).
After that, use browserhax to install menuhax again.

I tried this, but when I when I tried to install browserhax, the browser crashed and an error message came up stating I needed to restart my system

Well, that's because browserhax is a little unestable, so you have to try browserhax until you boot homebrew.
Also, once you change the theme, you should be able to turn on your 3ds with the SD card inside, just like normal.
