Homebrew Just feel sad for no way installing legit CIA on latest 10.5 system.

Thanks to menuhax 2.2, I can easily run Homebrew Launcher on my 10.5 system, but it is sad still no way installing legit CIA on 10.5.
I am not complaining or urging something; I appreciate their jobs a lot. I installed two legit CIAs on 10.3 and I thought it was enough so I updated to 10.4 and then 10.5. However, I underestimated my greed, for I still want more CIAs after finding it tooooo convenient to play CIA without changing cartridges frequently.
So it is sad for me and what I can do is waiting, for future exploit to let me install legit CIA again, which I don't even know for sure if it will ever exist or not.

BTW, I also want to know whether legit CIA installing is the reason why Nintendo offer no pre-installed bundle but give code to download nowadays?

Probably not. It's easier (and probably cost less) to just include the download code for the eShop version of the game than to flash all qualified console the game itself + the ticket. It's easier to just include a system factory 3ds and a code.

You still have to remember that Homebrew runs on Userland, installing CIAs needs Kernel Access. Memchunkhax2 got patched in 10.4 and I guess there won't be an alternative for it in a while, like with Memchunkhax(1).

People who don't create an emuNAND but still want to play some .CIA(legit or not) and update anyway are retarded and should be deleted from the forum to ease our pain as well. Coming from XDA-DEVELOPERS, the same(and even worse) noobs exists in here. Use your brain next time

Since Emunand, there is never a reason to update sysnand.
I'd have to assume no, because we got the Yo-Kai-Watch bundle, and you need arm11 kernel to even install legit CIA's. If you have Arm11 kernel, you can downgrade to a lower firmware. If you have said lower firmware, you can play non-legit CIA installations. There's not much reason to even have legit CIA's unless you plan to update sysnand after

No, because The Pokemon Company sure seems happy to release their bundle w/ Pokemon Red and Blue pre-installed.

I've been on this forum for a week or so and the amount of people who don't use their brain exceeds everything. It doesn't hurt to make an emuNAND and run everything from there. This is why it exists. This is why everyone does it. If it wasn't worth it, it wouldn't exist.

I have to install HBL, for it is the easiest way for me to play JP region games. Installing legit CIA is only one further step (FBI) from HBL, so I think it is acceptable. I just feel sad to miss such a good way to satisfy my greed (some convenient CIA).
I am too lazy to have an emuNAND and want a "almost clean" system, so I don't have the advantage of emuNAND. It is fair enough. I also know for sure that if I take plunge to install a emuNAND, I will not stop installing all kinds of CIA, not only legit, but also other kinds of CIAs that can be found throughout the Internet, which I believe would ruin my 3DS tour. If I had dozens of games on my home screen, I would play none of them.
That is why I like my "almost clean" system status. My post here is just for my greed, nothing more.

Don''t know how you define "clean". The system is clean. emuNAND is created in your SDcard. Using menuhax you can either auto-boot into emuNAND or press a button to do so. Your way of thinking is just wrong.

I have a Sky3DS without "+". I use it as a DEMO card to see whether a game is worth buying. But only a dozen of new games is not supported, so I am always wondering if it is worth buying new Sky3DS+. However, I have to admit that these unsupported new games are all really BIG GAMES, which I should really buy.

If your sysNAND can be updated to latest system, I would admit it a clean system (after updated). I know your so called 414 trick or other way to enter the emuNAND and in either way the system is modified.
