This may be an odd request, but... I already played Picross DS, including the bonus DLC. The bonus DLC includes many puzzles from earlier Picross games such as Mario's Picross.

So would it be possible to somehow mark the puzzles that appeared as bonuses in later games (at least as bonuses in Picross DS) to avoid playing them twice? (I suppose I'll have forgotten the details anyway, but having the option to skip them would be nice.)

I could send you my save files for Picross DS containing the solved bonus puzzles if you need completed save files for that.

And I'm sure later games included bonuses too.

I'm aware of the bonus courses, but i'll do a "curation" of sorts, eliminating the duplicates. And yes, some completed savegames would help a lot, since nobody seems to have ripped resources from Picross DS, I have to do them myself :P

Would it be at all possible to get the controls from the new Pokemon Picross in this as an option or something? As in, where you use the stylus to fill in squares, and hold the circle pad up to fill in squares or down to cross out. I've been playing a lot of Pokemon Picross on the bus and have gotten really used to those controls.

Edit: And a CIA version would be convenient for us CFW users, although with the Homebrew Launcher CIA it's not as much of a hassle to load .3dsx as before.

Something that could help is if we could drag the stylus across the screen, and fill in multiple squares without removing the stylus from the screen. You probably have thought of this, but I didn't see it in the to-do list, so I thought I should point that out.

I just got this working! It'll be added in the next update :D

Not at this moment, because the 15x15 puzzles use the Circle Pad for the camera. I haven't played Pokémon Picross yet, but i'll take it onto consideration.

Well, there's another reason not to finish Picross3D. It'll give me more time to work on my 3DS homebrew down - I mean, uh, NewerSMB2! Yeah... Definitely not a homebrew downloader or anything... ;)

Anyways, you did an AMAZING job with this. I can't wait to try! :)

Sorry to hear that you won't finish yours :( Honestly I had the same fear, that someone would make a better Picross clone before mine was ready...

Good luck on your new project, whatever it is :P

No, the point is that if I go through all the Mario's Picross puzzles, I want to be able to see "this puzzle was used as bonus content in Picross DS" so I can skip it. I have to actually know which ones were used in Picross DS for that. Just eliminating the duplicates won't help, since there will still be one of each puzzle and I won't know which puzzles I already finished and which ones I didn't.

I see what you mean, but I don't get why you want it. You mean so you don't complete them in the original Picross DS or in Picroxx?

That said, it'd be pretty easy to do.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I'm going to sleep now. Thanks everybody for your support and feedback, it means a lot :)

When the time reaches over 99:99:59, the game crashes, with this error:

Oops, a Lua error has occured
Press Start to quit

./gamestate/puzzle/draw.lua:92: bad argument #1 to 'draw' (bad type)

Pretty much no one will bother to find this, but it might be fun to patch it anyways, just to look professional.

I already finished Picross DS with the DLC. The DLC includes puzzles from Mario's Picross, so that means that I already finished some Mario's Picross puzzles.

When I'm playing the entire set of Mario's Picross levels using your program, that includes both puzzles I did do before (from the Picross DS bonus) and puzzles I didn't do before (the ones that Picross DS happened not to include). I want to skip the ones that I did before. If they are marked as "puzzle used in Picross DS" I can do that.

Huge Picross fan here, going to be trying this asap. Logged in and posted for the first time in a while just to throw my support your way :) Keep up the impressive work!

Edit: Tested it, it's super impressive for a first release.

Mario's Picross says "Game Boy Color" but it was actually only Game Boy (with Super Game Boy support).

This is awesome, though, I love Picross! Most evenings I will solve a couple of the e series puzzles before bed.
