Just wondering will VC Pokemon Yellow, Red, and Blue become legit cia files because aren't they coming out pre-installed on a Special Edition 3DS' for Pokemon's Anniversery

we dont know if they will. they might just as well add a download code. (which to be honest, seems like they should be doing for every future bundle at this point)

on a different note, without updating to the latest firmware, is there any way to access the eshop for game updates for these?

hm.... man.
Guess I should downgrade then?

This is what I did. The selection of legit cias in the US is meh.

Im not downgrading till its much more simpler.

It will never get simpler, because its simple already enough. It took me 5 mins to downgrade.

I just had to get the 9.2 cia files, use safesysupdater to check the MD5 checksum to ensure they were the correct files, and once it game me the OK, I just pressed Y to downgrade and it was done in 5 mins :P

while that is true, remember that a bunch of people did just that and still got softbricks, which force you to go to recovery, which by this point, forces a 10.4 update. while its mostly save, meaning it wont hardbrick your console, there's no guarantee you end up with a downgraded system and not an upgraded one that cant even access normal homebrew and the legit cias anymore.

The chances of downgrading succesfully are around 95% if you choose the correct files and you follow the tutorial correctly (that doesn't mean it will erase the 5% chances of bricking. :P)

Don't know why you really want to play that game, I hear it's awful :-p
It's actually quite fun. Completed it in 1 week, I had lots of fun designing the houses. :P

Then it's not waiting for it to get simpler, because there will never be a 100% softbrick free version.
While I'm just speculating, I think that the process can get stuck if you don't use a 'clean' SD. Since this is critical, I made sure I formatted a new SD that I got for my wii u and I didn't had any problems.

Though at the end is up to you if you decide to take the risk to reach the rewards.

Sometimes you just have to take the risks and do something. :3

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
