What about that FBI and Playcoinsetter (I guess). Will it show up on sysnand?
Wanna say they will show up if you install them with sig checks disabled (which could have been done on 9.2) and as long as you dont run them with sig checks enabled they will stay there

Also it got to my attention how many gifts he has. it looks like the title database was wiped and restored somehow.

Yeah.

As with Fox Mulder in The X-Files "I want to believe"

Only time will tell and until proven as a fake, let's show a little support, saying that the OP could discuss what he has done to achieve this result where so many other experienced dev's and coders have failed so far

I can confirm that you can easily rename a .smdh file to match another .3dsx file and it will show the original icon (i.e. renaming rxtools.smdh to quick_reboot.smdh still shows up on HBL as rxTools), same for just renaming the reboot.3dsx to rxtools and pairing it with the rxtools icon file.

Dude, we are saying he didnt load a CFW. He could have easily faked the original picture with cver and nver, then updated sysnand to 9.6, loaded the HBL and launched something like quickreboot with the rxtools.smdh file.
No rxtools splash screen rxtools. He's downgraded installed cias then did nver. He's now updated to 9.6 with the cart and then booted dummy app in homebrew launcher. He's probably currently downgrading again to show more fake pictures.

the lack of an rxtools splash screen was the big giveaway for me.

Yeah that's a known thing. :P

Something else worth noting...
rxTools in a N3DS shows a quick banner upon emunand boot at the top screen, for a sec.
Although, very few times I had no banner on top at all and it loaded emunand.

@CrispyYoshi @Hayleia @Phenom Faina

Did any of you actually PM the guy? Did he give you any response or info?

I'm not saying real or fake as I don't know one way or the other. Just a question though, how do we know that was definitely 10.3 emunand and not sysnand? I know the video showed you selecting rxTools from the HBL, but it wouldn't be difficult to fake this by using the SMDH from rxTools but use a 3dsx which just reboots back to the system home menu.
If he booted back to sysNAND he wouldn't have been able to run the game, since his sysNAND is 9.2 or lower.

He could however have modified Gateway's 3dsx launcher to look like the rxTools one.

That oh-so-convenient blur caused by his camera falling onto the screen while fiddling with the game would provide enough time to stick in his Gateway and select a modified ROM from the multiROM menu...

The video looks neat, but it's hardly irrefutable evidence. Sorry OP I still remain skeptical I'm afraid.

The possibility exists that the massive time gaps between stuff were because he was updating his sysnand to 9.6 (or even back to 10.3) in order to run the game.

I'm too tired to keep on with this suspenseful thread.
I'll rest for 4 hours then comeback to hopefully see the much awaited conclusion to this episode of "The Last Firmware"

Hold l while booting rxtools to show us the settings and boot remove through there

Yeah no. I watched the video and your screen was shown clearly the entire time from the moment you clicked on the hb icon until the home menu loaded. At some point during that the top screen should have shown the rxtools splash.

Rather than beating around the bush with trying to find some "proof" that will appease the masses, just post your method.
