I'm still going to wait it out on my N3DS. I tried the old one on two of my O3DSs and downgraded them both just fine, but I don't want to risk anything on my N3DS until I'm sure it's not going to mess up anything. I'm sure it would be fine, but I don't want to be that guy with the useless MM N3DS just because I wanted to do unnecessary things.

No because the downgrading didn't even start. He's fine, but don't take my word on it. I guess you could wait for KTM, but you'll get the same brickrate if you choose your files wisely, KTM just does this automatically for you.
I have the 9.2U ttp files downloaded. Is that all I need?

why the removal of files on US version? I downgraded just fine without, so just curious.
some people get errors due to menuhax and believe there downgrade is unsuccessful then boot recovery update back and say the downgrade does not work this is to avoid that situation

you need menuhax to run the downgrade you also need to put the cia files in a folder on your sd root called updates
and make sure you have the proper update for your 3ds version

The issue is most likely that the exploit just isn't triggering, like with FBI legit CIA installs, but we don't get any debug output of the exploit in this version whether or not it worked. It took over 100+ tries between 2 days to install a legit cia - not looking forward to how many this will take lol.

Wait. With menuhax will it give the same soft brick error message? the "there is something wrong blah blah blah, please reboot your system"? Even with the card removed?

Because I literally just soft-bricked (I think) and started the recovery process. If that was a legit downgrade I'm gonna kick myself.

no with menuhax you may see a black screen with nothing loading but if you want to see if menuhax is the cause of your softbrick then power down the system remove the sd and restart it if it boots then delete your hax from the sd card and put it back in our system
edit: oh just saw where you said you did the recovery thing

Alright. So if I'm getting the downgrade to go, but soft bricking, does that mean I have everything set up properly? To my knowledge I have all the proper files for my system, am using the latest sysupdater, etc. It's just that both times I've gotten it to downgrade, I ended up with a soft brick.

possibility as i said remove the sd card and restart the console before you assure yourself that you softbricked if you try again

Checking in again. Another soft brick. This time I bothered to count how many .cia files were installed before native firm. 41. Last time it was 40-something as well. How many are supposed to install? All 102?
