Also rofl if DSTwo shows up as Alex Rider Stormbreaker DS game when inserted and in GW mode before selecting a 3DS game that makes it easy as hell for GW to detect it rofl.
Just check what game is inserted in the Slot-1 and boom. Probably doesn't matter if someone would actually have a legit alex rider ds game cartridge because honestly who actually has that game and actually plays it, lol.
The people who genuinely would have that game wouldn't really have a GW so eh.
I find it very humorous that there is not a single thread about 3.6 on the super card forum, you would almost think they are being purged .

I'm sorry.....but this is fuckin hilarioius how majority of members on here are pointing fingers at GW for the brick code. More free stuff??? I laugh at idiots who attempt to use the GW official launcher instead of waiting for supercard to release one and knowingly knew about the brick code and still made an attempt anyways. ROFLMAO

Wrong, it worked upon release. But what you dont' get is there's NO GAURANTEE THAT IT WILL LAST. You got caught in their money grab and got fucked yourself, its not GW fault.

If you only used the GW plug in and 3.4.1 launcher.dat, downloadable from the sc.dstwoplus website, are you safe from this brick bug issue?

That is to say, only people who tried to use a newer launcher.dat, downloaded from GW are at risk??

The reason I ask, is surely there is bad behaviour all round on this. Gateway have acted maliciously toward THEIR community (3ds modders), just to drive extra revenue.
Imagine if a car company had shares in goodyear, and they designed their wheel rims so they would cause blow outs with all other tyres.

Driving revenue through 'rent seeking' is pretty shitty behaviour, better that they further inovated their GW code to offer more features than DSTwo and get extra customers that way.

SC should have innovated their own software.

Users, if my first line in this post is true (is it?) are to blame, for foolishly updating to a newer version of launcher.dat from GW...

I'm not so well informed on this subject, still learning, but reading fast as I maybe foolishly ordered a dstwoplus for GBA and Snes emulation...... hmmm

You can use the DSTwo+ for GBA and SNES, and just use a CFW for anything 3DS related. That way, you avoid having to use Gateway's software.

Gateway is a hypocrite for invoking intellectual property protection. They make a product that is used for stealing intellectual property. Why do we need a long debate over it.

what about RXtools that wasn't meant for piracy but people got it and made it all the way we know today? the creator wasn't happy with this, I think if he could, a brick code would be an idea to protect his point xD
Not saying that it's a nice thing to do .. but isn't because they to something used for piracy that they think is ok to be pirated... they had their work to get there ... GW got money with this, Roxas did for free ...

Someone went there making flashcards and just giving the others? if this happened would be a totally different stuff... I think the near we cn have wth this are DIY amiibo cards hahah
